are you not forgetting tax and shipping fees? I bought the albums so I know what they were priced at when all was said and done and I paid almost close to $200 just for the 3 physical versions and also $100 for all 4 digipacks. How are you telling me?

 

also, it’s easy to say what people can afford, but if you see an album for $60 on their official site, but know you can get if for $30-40 cheaper on say Ktown4u. You really think people aren’t gonna choose the cheaper option to save money? be serious…I was tempted myself to get it from Ktown4u but I’m in the US and I wanted my sales to count for Billboard

 

I’m not saying Fallon and Kelly was massive promo, but it was promo still and BP didn’t do any of that, not even pre-recorded. TWICE also had the Billboard Women ceremony and other stuff, aren’t they already back in SK doing the music show rounds? Which BP only had 1 of each PV and SD on Inki. Like I said, TWICE is already doing more promo than BP

blonks are focused on buying blackpink albums in ktown4u (as you can see born pink with 1m and JS1 500k ktown sales) and they don't count for US sales (+ktown is much cheaper)

twice stans don't buy much from ktown - idk where they buy twice's albums but I know they buy them from sites that count for US sales

they do (if we consider it in the same was as NJ „payola”), I got Moonlight Sunrise (and Stamp on It , followed by Ditto) one after another in January/February

Ktown buyers are mostly chinese fans, all groups with the biggest c-fandoms always get the highest sales if you check it closely (and the bars themselves tend to upload the receipts from kt4u at the end of the period lol), and sales overseas don't count towards the US unless you ship them to a US address and then to wherever you live which would be... ridiculous

What autoplay payola does bp have, as far as i know the "payola" so far was that one spotify collab after born pink release for a week or something and tth playlisting for pv and sd which we don't have anymore. And sd is stilk charting on spotify global.

Honestly don't know what's the tea!! Is yg actually being shady and wanting the korean members to get 1m sale certification on cirlce before lisa does or its something beyond them and not their fault. Lisa and Jennie actually have skill and execution to their rapping, whereas a lot of said rappers in groups just talk fast. That’s the case of the aespa, RV, TWICE, etc…I don’t think of of them are talented at rapping, it’s just the position they were giving. A lot of them just sound like their talking, no rhythm to their rapping at all

Again it all depends on the content given to them. At the end of the day they haven’t written any of the raps so if they haven’t made the raps then literally anyone can be coached into how to run with it as Teddy does for them.
 

There’s no natural finesse for people to be giving them 10’s for simply reciting.

Because if I listen a lot of kpop and then kpop songs will be in my autoplay. It's not like I am listening just metal music and suddenly play T-Ara Bo Peep Bo Peep
Then would be very suspicious

You’re right. JYP’s deals are with Target in the U.S. - you can go to most Targets here and find any JYP album readily available. SM and YG are severely lacking there.

A song being autoplayed is not the same as Autoplay payola. Every song is eligible for Autoplay and your Spotify should automatically cycle through a list of recent single releases after you play your selected song.

 

Autoplay payola has to do with certain acts getting their music played more or Spotify ignoring the algorithms and interjecting random songs because the label takes fewer royalties. Both HYBE and YG participate in this and SM and JYP are late to the party.

 

And I’m not saying that SMF didn’t bomb digitally. I was just pointing out that even if a JYP act scores a streaming hit, it’ll never outdo HYBE or YG acts (or must US labels) because those label participate in Spotify payola. Comparing acts without payola to acts with payola is stupid.

to be honest I don’t think such thing even exists  I was just replying and stating that I indeed got Moonlight Sunrise on autoplay so it’s not true that Twice doesn’t have that (and they are still below BP, right after their ep release lol) 

 

and there was a time when I got Pink Venom and Antifragile
