It's weird seeing supposed MYs keep dragging Giselle unprovoked 24/7, like I don't understand how they can stan a group if they dislike a member this much which is basically 25 % of the group.

Lia is not even that bad of a dancer, it's just because she's in a group with 4 monsters. Had she debuted in aespa instead, she would've been the 3rd best dancer of the group. If Ningning debuted in ITZY instead she would've gotten eaten up just as bad as Lia btw

everyone aside from NingNing and Karina should be beyond unemployed in the kpop industry department namingly Giselle and Winter. Go girl give us NOTHING.

I think that’s what tickles me the most with the whole Giselle discourse, especially when she’s singled out fruitlessly. I absolutely love aespa —- hands down my favorite 4th gen group. But at this point, rational fans have all but resigned themselves to the fact that they’re all pretty mediocre dancers. Giselle isn’t holding them back from anything. ITZY (w/Lia), LSRF (w/Sakura), IDLE (w/Shuhua) etc. have been able to circumvent one weak dancer just fine thus far. There’s no way aespa should have as difficult a time doing the same, if she were the only issue.

I mean, I know we’re being willfully ignorant to it, but let’s keep it a buck. They’ve been getting eaten up in every one of those GG challenges they’ve been doing (of their own dances and others’), and Giselle hasn’t been in a single one of them. I’m just defending my sister!

Winter is like Jennie to me. She knows she can do better but 95% of the time she is lazy af (at least in Korea).

Loving the Eunchae praise in here, she deserves it! 

This fixation on aespa's dancing is so weird.

 

They are all passable dancers for K-Pop. They don't all need to be tireless dancing machines, because they don't need to cover up for being terrible singers or uncharismatic, unlike certain other groups (y'all can decide who they are...). Karina and Winter additionally proved their abilities in GOT too, next to THE BoA, Hyoyeon, Seulgi etc. They are not bad dancers.

 

Giselle particularly works best in the "baddie" image, it really suits her and SM took a step in the right direction with Spicy. aespa is now a very well balanced group and every member brings necessary skills to the table on and/or off stage. Could they benefit from an additional dancer...probably yes. But it's a not make or break situation.

The way she went from hospitalized and unable to walk in 2020, to serving main dancer teas in GOT in 2022, is inspirational.

 

I can't imagine how hard she must have worked to get back to that level.

I remember everyone saying that she would never be able to dance like she used to or even that she wouldn't dance at all 

 

It's amazing how she proved everyone wrong, got a new face and put in even more hard work and improvement  she's at her peak and we love to see it

I love Irene, and it made sense to put her in the dance line since it seems only her and Seulgi trained for it during their trainee days. I mean, granted, I’m sure all idols take some form of dancing classes during their trainee days, but you can tell who goes the extra mile. Any analysts I’ve seen currently places Wendy at number two, and it makes sense. Irene is still captivating to watch though 

waiting for the SM live performances with the mic on at concerts and televised performances ☠️ something where the artist isnt sitting down

It still feels surreal to me that V and Jennie aka a BTS and BP member aka the biggest male and female idol of all time are dating! It really feels like a Wattpad fanfic. 

Btw, V and Jennie are bigger than Kpop at this point, and are way too powerful to be living their lives like the average Kpop idol with all these restrictions such as not being allowed to date openly etc., which is why I won't be surprised if they officially debut together as a couple in one of these red carpet events soon. This goes for the other BTS and BP members as well, where we see them living more like Western celebs and not living like Kpop idols anymore. They are all simple above the idol life at this point, and it won't hurt their career one bit if they were to date openly and just living their lives like normal Western celebs 

It would be cool if Jennie and V were to open the doors for the idol industry to finally being able date openly and freely
