Taylor debuts desperation. Surprised?

Definitely not! (And this isn’t a drag. Artists should put out as much music as they want. I can’t believe this site makes that out to be a bad thing.)

You clocked. And honestly there's nothing wrong with it?? I don't get the fumes. Remixes are fun af

She has the right to release remixes wtf. Sometimes I stream remixes more than original versions, this could find its audience and boost her lead.

The way I KNOW this woman will have a mental breakdown if an album of hers underperformed. She's so addicted to success...

And how is that a problem?

These remixes were already planned far in advance. It’s not Taylor’s fault that your faves have a weak marketing strategy. :foxaylove2:

Oh no, not a remix! How ever shall her public image recover from this!?

"Desperation" :rip: The only desperation in here is wafting off of her haters who are literally grasping at straws to find something, anything, to drag her when she is the most successful artist on the planet at the moment. We're almost 3 weeks since Anti-Hero was released and it is STILL the #1 most streamed song on Spotify Global. These OTHs need to get a f**king grip lmao. This song is a massive multi-week #1 smash without any remixes.

Oop :giraffe:

she has underperforming albums — Speak Now and evermore. And we love them all the same, because music is not all about charts contrary to popular belief. Willow antics aside, evermore is an era that’s strictly about the music and nothing else. It’s fine to get a big popstar era with remixes and videos and performances after such a lowkey era where nothing happened after week 1.

these tactics are the standard for her every album cycle so no surprise. she's a businesswoman I guess?

The new remix slaps tho so we're stanning her desperation this time :clap3:

Where's the 'xxx debuts desperation' thread when another artist drops 9 MVs even with the karaoke / instrumental etc version + a change in digital covers as an alternative version just recently?

Also, this pretty much confirms that Taylor and her team watch the Twitter pages of all the Hot 100 predictors like a HAWK.

They would see then that the gap is obviously way too big to overcome :celestial5:

I have no idea why she does these remixes. They have never done anything.

Would guess she's just having fun in the studio. And like others said a lot of big artists do them

I like Taylor but I’m asking genuinely: at what point does this start to seem narcissistic. She literally has broken so many records, what is she aiming for at this point? Why does it matter? Literally nobody outside of her fanbase is paying attention to numbers passed the first week. It can’t possibly be about money- she has so damn much already and if it is- yikes what a capitalist nightmare

She's giving other smaller artists a platform to shine. She's a saint

Since when are remixes of singles a thing or something of desperation. Remixes have always happened.

The fumes from the DRAKE stan (that google alert better be quick) why don’t you go collect the trash feature on your fave’s album or that trash line on that other song. I know that it hurts to see how quickly she stomped him despite the delay but next time... Stay in your lane sweetie!

also the adele stan from last year is back and continuing their loser streak after receiving back to back to back L’s for the past year and especially this past month...

It’s hilarious how she causes this much conversation over every single remix she drops, when every time I open an artist page on streaming and find 5-10 remixes of their latest singles and get confused about when did they even get released and how no one moved, the power of this woman :dies:

Yeah I'm actually surprised cause Anti-Hero is an organic #1 hit already so this is so unnecessary idgi

Snatch that 3rd week at #1 queen of music :foxaylove3: make the OTHs FUME and CRY!

Are you trolling? :rip:

She has no chance of going #1 this week no matter how many remixes she releases. It’s not about the numbers at this point, she clearly likes doing them regardless. Like, it’s not needed for chart purposes, so if that were the reason it was released they would wait for a time it’s necessary, you can chill. Either way, only Taylor would get people mad enough to write think-pieces about her a narcissist for… releasing a remix. Like do you hear yourself? And btw prefacing a delusional hate post by pretending that they like her doesn’t make it look less weird :deadbanana: jeiesidjsi you can’t make this up at all - y’all are just hilarious at this point, it’s comedic gold

Wow. You’re passionate, huh? :bibliahh:Nobody called her a narcissist. Stop projecting. I mentioned narcissistic behavior. We’re talking behavior. I know Taylor is not a narcissist and would never say she is. I do like Taylor. One can hold a nuanced view about artists without vindicating their every decision, I imagine that’s hard for you to conceptualize?

And “think piece”? Get off ATRL for a day or two, babe. Get outside. I promise, you’ll be okay and so will your deity, Taylor Swift. :rip:

You wrote a paragraph trying to psycho analyze her behavior for *checking notes* releasing a remix. You realize releasing music is… her job. Right? Do you get upset when farmers harvest crops every morning? :rip: Are they narcissistic for trying to expand their farm and yield more crops each year? An artist putting out work does not equal narcissistic behavior. Your view held no nuance.
