Literally EVERYTHING about spotify is better than am except for how much it pays to artists

Have both, love both but I like having my music organized in a very particular way so Apple Music works better overall for me.

I kinda use both platforms: Spotify for podcasts and quick searches and Apple Music for library management and music listening. Had to subscribe to Apple Music since we’ve got a few HomePods in the gaff and I guess each service has its pros and cons.

Spotify

Pros: much faster than AM, less glitchy, Spotify connect, group session, relevant search results and much better algorithm when it comes to auto play.
Cons: that user interface, library management and podcasts being shoved down your throat.

Apple Music

Pros: lovely user interface, lyrics (Spotify’s isn’t as good), music videos, radio stations, library management being their biggest advantage (it’s possible to change album covers, edit album and song titles and so much more), smart playlists.

Cons: the app is so slow, glitchy and sometimes unresponsive. Search feature is a joke and god forbid you to try and transfer the music being played on your phone to a HomePod. It’s a nightmare and so not intuitive. Actually the interaction between iPhone/iPad and HomePod is their biggest downfall.

If Spotify decided to improve their UI, added better library management and offered support to AirPlay 2 I would cancel AM in a heartbeat.

I use spotify more (i have both) solely because I'm a last.fm user and spotify counts scrobbles after you listen to half of the song (on AM, you have to listen to the entire thing or the scrobble doesnt count) but AM is definitely better in terms of layout and other functions. Not being able to shuffle your entire library at once on a MUSIC STREAMING APP is criminal on spotify's part. (Also, the lack of partial albums in the library also gets on my nerves.) Plus Apple pays artists like x3 more.

editing to say spotify's music recommendations and playlists are better.

I use both, sort of.

Spotify has better playlists, much better. Podcasts are there too.

AM has better library management, much better. AM also has Dolby Atmos, basically a different mix of a song that can elevate it to high heaven or drag it down to hell. Better lyrics and radio.

But I have an iPhone so I use AM, I use Spotify to get playlists and then play them on discord.

I quit AM for Spotify, thats says a lot.

Same :chick1: went from iTunes to Spotify to Apple Music for two years and then back to Spotify, Spotify is supreme

I tried migrating over to Spotify but I think the design is really ugly. AM is also much better about integrating downloaded music into your library

Apple Music for me, Spotify had too much missing content at the time I was choosing and I've just never moved

Apple Music.

I have a lot of CD’s that aren’t available on streaming services and I’m able to put them onto my phone by using Apple Music. It just doesn’t seem logical to have my CDs on Apple Music whilst using Spotify to stream everything else. It’s more convenient to have everything under one app.

Spotify is trash if you want to organize a music library. AM is much better for people who want to do that.

Also, the audio quality is 10x better on AM.

spotify is CHEAP

apple music >>>

Spill, the Spotify quality is gutter

AM's>>>>

After using Spotify for years I switched to Apple Music almost a year ago and I don’t look back. I prefer the UI of AM and in my personal opinion the sound quality is way better (even when my Spotify audio quality settings were at maximum).
