The alternative to Biden is a man and a political party who quite literally want queer people dead, and who will do everything to make queer American's lives a living hell if they gain power. Not saying you specifically, but many stans only want their faves to say something so they can use it as stan fodder. They are embarrassed to stan someone who has not said anything because it is the hot topic right now.  It has nothing to do with the lives of Palestinians.

 

Should she say something? Yes. Do I want her to? Also, yes, but some of you are just being OTT with this.

Biden is literally one of the few things keeping Republicans from enacting widespread bans on being transgender, gay people marrying, queer people being parents, and virtually every right queer people have earned over the past fifty years. Thank GOD Gaga is not throwing that away. And she should not throw it away for something that is not happening in the US.

 

Whether you virtue signalers want to admit it or not, the US is in a very, very shitty position right now. We have to choose between a guy who is funding genocide in a foreign country and a guy who will enact genocide (on immigrants and queer people) in the US. As an American, I am going to default to the one that harms me, my family, and my friends less. I do not have the luxury of choosing another country right now.

Some of the members of this fanbase ONLY stan Gaga when it is CONVENIENT for them. Let's not start ATTACKING Gaga when she is about to release a single. It NEVER fails  go spend your time harassing other artists.

I also think that she has learned a lot during the Trump administration. She can't be a divisive figure especially when 

her fanbase now consists of Gen X's who side with Israel. 

 

 The Pandemic was an entirely difference case versus the Israel-Palestine conflict. It was a global and bilogical issue that has affected humanity itself, while this war has so much 

political and historical rifts that only the Middle East and the U.S. could solve.

This is the clearest attempt that I've heard so far at separating the layers. The way we've been going back and forth daily over moon vs night when there's nothing there it's just a chopped up vocal stem is sending me

Like it or not, HOLLYWOOD and the music industry at large is run by Jews. Gaga is not going to pander to never-satisfied SJWs with a statement on the matter and risk tarnishing her industry goodwill. Especially on such a complex, deeply rooted historical conflict that she frankly has no business discussing because she's neither Jewish nor Palestinian. It's a zero sum game

 

Objectively, there's blood on the hands of both sides and each VEHEMENTLY thinks the other is wrong. I don't think I've ever seen a more polarized war in my lifetime (yes, even moreso than in the Middle East post 9/11). It's a NASTY war that Gaga should stay out of. I commend her silence, cause what is a pop star going to do about it anyway? You want change, go lobby against the military industrial complex that is THRIVING off this war. Or better yet, protest with the virtue signaling Columbia students who are too chicken **** to have packed a lunch for their "takeover," and who have the luxury of either (i) paying $90k in yearly college tuition; or (ii) having other taxpayers pay for it via grants/scholarships/student loans. 
 

Moral of the story: the world is ******* ugly. Stop looking for the answer to world peace in entertainers like Gaga, who allow people to escape from the ugliness via artistic contributions to society and displays of sheer talent on a global stage. You're barking up the wrong tree. And just because she's spoken up about social issues before doesn't mean she has to comment on all of them, especially what's going on in Gaza.

they care about the world's problems. We're humans after all - should we only care about music from an artist who built her career on supporting human rights and leaving no one behind?

WAKE UP! The world doesn't revolve around music and albums, yes i'll enjoy LG7 whenever it comes even if it comes out now in the middle of what's happening! But I'd appreciate an effort from someone who always convinces me that they care about human rights.
