Can Little Monsters support an era without having to bring in social issues into the picture? Gaga already ruined Chromatica because of that, we don't need fake rumours about her foundation being a scam or cancelling her for not wanting to speak about sensitive topics, doesn't make her anti Palestine by any means.

I mean, theres still plenty of performative activism and a wonderful example is spending time on pop stars and not government officials.

Look, because Gaga has been somewhat closely involved with Biden, there is a perfectly understandable reason for people to put Gaga to a certain standard. Ultimately, this is not only a geopolitical issue, but an issue regarding the US (Gaga's own home country whose current leader she has supported) and it's president allowing their weapons to kill innocent people by the thousands by an allied country. Gaga has also been very vocal about things happening inside the US when it comes to human rights, and this is a pressing human right issue of today, so it is expected that she'd use her voice to share a message about her stance. It's 100% understandable and correct for people to feel disappointed, disgusted, bothered, annoyed and uneasy about Gaga not publicly sharing her support for the cause they so eagerly believe in.

 

But this is where you need to stand by your values and stop supporting a woman whose silence on issues that are important to you make you feel such strong negative emotions.

 

A lot of this twitter activism is also disgusting to the very core. You know damn well a lot of this anger does not come from genuine care, frustration and worry, but mere needing to posture about their faves righteousness and morals in petty internet stanwars, and the need to shield your own self from any criticism you might get by aligning yourself with a celebrity who hasn't spoken about the current big issue.

She's obviously against genocide u guys, lighten up a bit.

 

I just hope the same standard is being held by people in this thread as Sabrina Carpenter shares Pandora ads, Meg the Stallion shares her tour footage and playlists, etc.
