It's been 4 years. The people still crying about the Chromatica era need to move on. She did what she could do. She had a super tight schedule and Covid disrupted it. Holding the pandemic against her is weird behavior 

 

Saying stuff like, "She ****** up the Chromatica era". When the truth is the pandemic ****** up the era. But even during the pandemic she was able to perform at the VMAs (with multiple outfit changes) and recorded her best music video since Telephone 

I don't want to go over this for the 100th time but there are 50 different viable alternatives that other artists did for every single excuse apologists provide.  She gave up on the era and that is that.  If it wasn't for her few music related contractual obligations, we would have gotten the 911 MV and absolutely nothing else.  No sense in trying to defend her for this, we've all moved on but we're not going to forget.

The Chromatica era was so funny because at the time most of us just wanted like, more than one performance   And while her collaborators (BLACKPINK, and later the remixers) were out doing virtual concerts and performing in small venues Gaga was just crickets. Like that was her music and the gag of it all was that everyone was willing to work around COVID and perform it but her. But most of us agree about that so it's really not worth bringing up again.

Honestly, if we heard that JFAD was dark bawpz or just pop in general I would 100% believe that the movie will suck, be panned, flop into oblivion, no matter what.

Yep I won't forget about Gaga did with chromatica era. It's time to move on but like someone else said we aren't going to forget. Everyone from Harry's styles, dua lipa, blackpink, etc were all performing or doing new things in order to promote there albums. 

Did y'all forget the reason Gaga cancelled that listening party was because we were in the middle of an intense, national civil rights movement, or

JFAD soundtrack is definitely not going to be dark bops, the songs will have a showtunes key direction for sure but very likely there are more genres involved and not just 'jazz' covers, like they did in 'Mouline Rouge' with Elton John, Madonna and Marylin Monroe songs.

 

 

 

Variety said, it's going to be at least 15 covers.

 

 

Also I remember there were rumors of 'Cell Block Tango' being performed on the movie during the filming

 

 

Since we know the movie will have "What The World Needs Now Is Love" sung by hippies  I wonder if Gaga will have some 60s and 70s covers in there too. Maybe the original song will be another soft rock love song and the spirit of ARUTW will come back

She can't afford more of that anyway, LG7 won't even debut with Chromatica's Spotify numbers as-is. Soon, we'll be wondering if she can hit 2M total album streams for her first day.
