I rewatched FF2 yesterday for the first time in years and in hindsight everything about that era makes a lot more sense. The resentment she held for "Lady Gaga" was clearly already brewing underneath the surface and there were moments when she looked completely dead behind the eyes and was not acting anything like herself, it was actually scary to see with the perspective of her admitting that was happening at the time. I wonder if that played a bigger part in her choice to do a faux-rootsy record about normal people stuff than she's ever let on.

 

If y'all havent watched it since you were a child like me or since she's opened up about certain mental health topics, I HIGHLY recommend it. They were clearly trying to edit around and spin some **** when they threw the doc together.

I think its time to accept that this Gaga is only interested in promoting Haus Labs and cover 100 year old jazz songs that no one really cares. 

I didnt become a stan ( since the Poker Face era) for this. She looks like she doesnt even want to be a pop star or be at the center of the attention

Beyoncé also went SIX years after Lemonade before dropping Renaissance and then edged fans for a further two years before Act 2 was announced last night.

 

We are four years out from Chromatica which is painful, but other pandemic artists are also only just rolling out their next eras now (Dua and Ariana) while Gaga is quite literally prepping the ground for LG7 right now too. We are potentially getting two major releases from her this year alongside the Joker soundtrack. 
 

If she goes back to silence and the next time we see her is in Vegas in June singing New York, New York then sure, I would get the frustrations, but let’s at least hold out until March first.

The meltdowns before/during stupid love leak were so iconic. We were dragging her through hell but when she moved a millimeter we were gagged on our knees

Also Jazz & Piano is a great show live and every bit as entertaining as Enigma was. You guys are acting like the Chromatica Ball was ballgowns and covers, she saves that music for the town that's known for it.

When Gaga did Joanne y'all dragged her and paid that album and aesthetic dust.

Beyoncé does it almost a decade later and you all rage with jealousy.

 

 

This fanbase is so unbelievably toxic, I feel bad that Gaga is stuck with these judgemental trolls meanwhile Taylor has a legion of followers that will eat up and advocate for ANYTHING their fave does.

Its not even everyone releasing their 2nd album in the time span that she released her last album, I guess thats partly where my frustration comes from but I was feeling positive about her working on new music etc but then she went and did the same old snoozefest jazz show in Vegas. Nobody is gonna look to her in 50 years and think what an incredible jazz musician she was, none of her jazz covers have made any dent on the music industry and shes never even released original jazz music at least then there would be something to come from this but at this point I feel its just easy for her to get up there do the same old song and dance, cash a cheque and call it a day and thats what makes me lose hope for her future endeavors because its the same team of people surrounding her, doing this same old tired act rather then breaking the mold, evolving and being the all round risk taker she once was shes now slugging behind the music industry. Can she even be called a pop star anymore when shes basically just a full time jazz cover artist? Sorry for the rant but idk how we got so down bad.

 

Sidenote I'm happy if shes happy ofc this isn't a target on her personally, at the end of the day she should do what makes her happy I'm just over the art shes creating or the lack thereof maybe she doesn't want to be the pop star she once was and I just have to accept that, but as a long time fan seeing one of the most inovative artists leave their music career in the dust is ofc gonna leave me feeling a little disappointed.

Going from 60 to 15 members in a matter of minutes, not even our meltdown are entertaining anymore I fear
