This. Joanne was inspired by country music, and it turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag but definitely not a pure country album.

 

And don't even think about comparing Joanne's aesthetic to Act II's

Do you all forgot PI or MR video? They were a nightmare. 

By the tones of certain meltdowns you would think she stated that she hasn't worked on new music and that she doesn't have new upcoming projects coming.

 

We are 100% sure she has worked on new music, whatever the release is imminent or not, it's just a matter of time at this point, we're going to enter in the movie+soundtrack era in 6 months more or less that is shaped to be one of the biggest moment of her career, we went through the longer and most difficult period of hiatus 2022-2023, losing it now without a valid reason, it's just so pointless.

Joanne has country influences but it was never a fully country album  the song that is the closest to being country is Sinner's Prayer tbh

Joanne would have better reception if it knew what genre it was. The songs that are the most country and most pop are the best ones, it’s all the songs that try to be a mix of genres that are the worst

Its not even everyone releasing their 2nd album in the time span that she released her last album, I guess thats partly where my frustration comes from but I was feeling positive about her working on new music etc but then she went and did the same old snoozefest jazz show in Vegas. Its the same show, same fashion, same tired covers that truly nobody gaf about. Sidenote I'm happy if shes happy ofc this isn't a target on her personally, at the end of the day she should do what makes her happy I'm just over the art shes creating or the lack thereof maybe she doesn't want to be the pop star she once was and I just have to accept that, but as a long time fan seeing one of the most inovative artists leave their music career in the dust is ofc gonna leave me feeling a little disappointed.

I don't agree with this. I think some of you guys have a tendency to be very overdramatic when it comes to Gaga, idk if it's a consequence of us being so spoiled as a fanbase for the first few years of her career, but it's definitely something. I appreciate that you became a stan because you love her pop music and her innovation, like we all did, but it's only been a year and a half since she finished a tour for her pop music. Liddos also act like Gaga has been starving them for an eternity, but it hasn't even been a full four years yet since Chromatica. Ariana released her last album a few months after Chromatica and she's only just now returning. Beyoncé didn't release an album for six years between Lemonade and Renaissance. Rihanna hasn't released an album in over eight years. Even Dua Lipa hasn't released a new album yet and her last album came out before Chromatica. In the time since Chromatica came out, Gaga has done a stadium world tour, filmed two movies, recorded a full soundtrack, released a jazz album and a remix album, and continued with her make-up line.

 

She's not going to be just on a constant conveyer belt of releasing pop music every two years for the rest of her life without any other projects going on too. She obviously enjoys her jazz shows, and it's not like it's getting in the way of her pop career. She's barely done any jazz shows in the last two years and it's not like she would have been touring for the last year if it wasn't for that, she literally did a pop world tour with an ongoing jazz residency. Sure, her last pop era was cut short but acting like she's a full-time jazz artist because she plays 12 jazz shows a year and the occasional corporate gig is pushing it.

 

Plus, we know she's actively working on non-jazz music and has been for at least six months now. I can imagine it would be pretty frustrating for Gaga to be in the studio for hours every day for months and months working on new music, to then go online and see fans say she doesn't care about music anymore and is just a jazz cover artist  As frustrating as it is, sometimes we have to just wait.

Days like today are when reality hits and I realize Gaga's team is fine and thank god none of you are in charge of managing her career

Gaga's profile is naturally in one of the best places it has ever been. She's stable at over 50M monthly listeners, there's rarely criticism aside from stans who already love her and she's barely doing anything. I think stan outrage comes from seeing these other pop girls put so much effort behind their music careers while she looks to film and makeup, and takes a backseat on her public profile while they bring the energy she was providing for the first decade of her career

The mental health of this fan base would be in a much better place if we got a lead single announcement and a JFAD teaser
