Tbf, it was a producing credit for A Strange Loop, which won the Pulitzer before it hit Broadway. Everyone and their mothers jumped on. JHud completed her EGOT with it

Yeah, original musicals take forever. Waitress (which was done by Sara Bareillegend hihi ) took around 3 years to hit Broadway after being announced. And that's a relatively short turnaround. An original musical isn't something she'd just whip up in like 2/3 months no problem. 

Would be fun to also follow things like the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Drama League Awards.

 

Anyway, we don’t know what it’ll be until it’s announced by her (or some publication beats her to it) so oh well. For now I’m just eager for the concert special.

How is Chromatica not a pop album? 
 

There is a reason why her jazz shows were so in demand. If Gaga did a rock or metal album and did her own version of a metal concert, the demand would be extremely high.

It had been stuck in development hell for a long time. It was under a different production house first, only towards the end of 2019 it was picked up by Netflix.

Animated films are notoriously hard to edit and the post-production process can be much longer and tedious. It's also said to be Paul's passion project so looks like he's taking his time to perfect it and is in no rush to release it. If I had to guess, I'd say it still doesn't get released this year but we'll see.

 

I don't think this is the "special project" she was referring to since she talked about things that she did since last summer and she wrote/recorded this song in 2015

Actually that movie is already done and Netflix is just trying to figure out the best time to release it, I guess. A runtime of 113 minutes already shows up on IMDb as well.

 

“Production on the movie reportedly took place between August 2018 and May 2022.

According to our sources, at one point the movie was set to release in the summer of 2023, with a July 3rd, 2023 release date initially eyed.”

All we need is another Born This Way... she found her lane with that album, and she should have rode it until the ******* wheels fell off... she basically pioneered an ENTIRE sound, aesthetic etc with it... she would have ruled supreme... oh GaGa. Dark electronic music with some lighter moments.

 

This is what we wanted Chromatica to sound like... it was like BTW, ARTPOP, trap music meets The Weeknd-ish stuff ****** each other and spit out BANGERS. If they used this as the template for the sonic tone of the album, toned down the HARDNESS a little bit by adding some elements of HOUSE/DANCE/POP music, she would have ******* KILLED it. This is why I will die on the hill that Rain On Me, Replay, 911, Enigma, Plastic Doll and Enigma were the best on the album.
