I think it's a hit
And I shall go on from there
I played this charade that was lighter than air
A good old-fashioned affair
As I sing this finale
I hope goes up your alley

Or the scene
Where the villain is mean
This goodbye

Dua getting TTH's #1 and cover? For this sountrack's song? Whereas HMH couldn't even get a #30 on its third (and film's release) week?

Gaga's team is really useless.

Video and song release at the same time as well.. as expected, that's why I don't get why people in here want her to be on that soundtrack only for her to be in another 'Ain't worried' situation with consequent meltdowns from the fanbase, she has 0 convenience.

why is this lowkey better than ROM mv

It's not. It's trying to recreate Take My Breath Away scenery and failed. The desert scene is nice but overall the video is mostly just scenes from the film and Gaga pretending to play the piano. The song is also an abomination compared to her soulful ballads like ARUTW, Million Reasons, Shallow, INLA, Speechless, even Dope.

literally none of those songs are like HMH and it is far from being "soulful".

Are you an OGH? That is literally an OGH narrative. How is HMH like TMBA in any way?
HMH is an epic power ballad for the climax of the movie. TMBA is a chill love song. She was not trying to recreate that song

I’m not saying one song is better than the other. They have nothing in common, besides existing in the same franchise

I don’t think Gaga would release LG7 before the Joker press tour, so I wouldn’t mind 2 songs on the Barbie soundtrack to hold us over to 2025. I don’t care that Dua gets preference over her or how high she places on TTH - I’m so over all of that and only care about getting the music now (no shade to those of you who do care — I was chart obsessed for a while too, it can be fun).

I just hope we get something (soundtrack single, collab, ARTPOP 10th anniversary vault tracks if I’m being delusional) before LG7 if it really is 2+ years away.

I'll never forget an early screener calling it similar to Before I Cry. :ahh:

No offense but I can't take your posts seriously since you label every fan in this base that doesn't agree with you as an OGH. If you had any proper reading comprehension skills you would see that I said the scene was trying to recreate the TMBA video with the desert scenery even down to the golden blonde hair with dark brown tips. It was nice but not as ethereal as the TMBA video. You were berating us for not supporting every product that Gaga puts out and said we should take notes from Taylor Swift fans who exclusively only stream Taylor swifts music and blindly support all of her endeavors. We called you out for your weird cult like behavior and for making the most idiotic exaggerated accusations. If you think I'm an OGH for thinking the HMH song and video is mediocre then that's a YOU problem. I just can't at a sensitive fan calling me an OGH even though I've attended almost every tour since TMB, have a meet and greet picture with her from Born this way bestbuy album singing and have all of her vinyls like sit down  :toofunny3:

I know some of the fans thought Before I Cry was corny but I've always loved the song. It sort of reminds me of a cross between a Kelly Clarkson pop song and a Leona Lewis power ballad. ARUTW and INLA are my favorite ballads from the soundtrack though.

Why is everything Gaga does always compared to everyone else? It does not make sense in my eyes. Gaga and WB wanted HMH to be an awards contender very obviously. Dua and her team want her song to be a hit. Different goals for different types of songs/artists.

Being a hit & an awards contender are not mutually exclusive :toofunny3: Gar’s team literally dropped that bomb on Tuesday at midnight & completely washed their hands of it. An artist of Gaga’s caliber demands Friday standard time release with immediate playlist support. There’s no excuse when irrelevant, flash in the pan artists do it every week

There are a few minor things I don't love about the song but the bridge and final chorus remedy it. The last note on "before I cryyyyy" is beautiful and she hasn't done this in her music

Hold My Hand is so bad, like, stupid love/Jewels and Drugs kinda bad.

"(inaudible) Guh gaahh, get it gurl we luh you, we love you Guh gaahhh!!!" :lmao:

Looks like she was having a real good time with her girlfriends. Good for her. Enjoy your well-deserved break legend :alexz3:

It’s not an OGH narrative. HMH just isn’t as good as TMBA.
