TDD's 2nd day was a Thursday, since it was released along the Netlifx show on a Wednesday. Literally zero playsliting (TTH nor NMF). Then it peaked at #14 if I remember it correctly. Still a heavy underperformance, but it stayed like 2 weeks in the Top 50.

That only works when the artist is at his creative peak. The point is that Taylor's creativity peaked in 2020, and every single album she's released since then is worse (quality-wise) than the previous one. Yes, she won commercially, but has lost her reputation as a songwriter, and now her albums/quality/songwriting have become basically a recurrent meme.

The point is that she sent 5 songs to radios and gave them a MV, in a spawn of 18 months, along with a WW tour and TV performances. That's a full pop era for me. Not saying it couldn't have been better, but she gave us content non-stop for 18 months.
