people may dislike million reasons, but saying that it came and went after the super bowl is just untrue. it’s eligible for 4x platinum in the us and has over 700m streams on spotify.

 

joanne didn’t do well on streaming as gaga was streaming poison still, but luckily the cure and then asib came to change that. luckily mr held on as she established herself on streaming, and has had decent recurrent streams. mr walked so that asib/shallow/arutw could run.

april 2023-fall 2024 is such a long timeframe, even with some vegas dates thrown in. unless she does another movie or two, a tv show, goes on broadway, etc. i still have such a hard time believing she won’t release a new music project during that time.

she’d have plenty of time to work on new music after joker filming wraps, and still have enough time to have an album era minus perhaps a tour. not to mention we have no idea what she’s worked on at home already. when you consider the chromatica era was originally planned to last around 6-9 months from lead single to the end of the tour, it’s doable before joker’s promotional cycle starts up in late summer 2024. releasing this fall would give her the most breathing room, whereas a spring 2024 release would make it a tight crunch unless she blended the lg7 era into the jfad era. the tour could happen either summer 2024 or summer 2025 depending on if she wanted to try and tour before or after the jfad era. 
 

if it doesn’t happen before jfad, i don’t see her next album coming until fall 2025/spring 2026 at the earliest, as she’d likely take some time off after the jfad era. that means the gap between chromatica to lg7 will be anywhere from three and a half years (fall 2023 likely being the earliest) to five and a half years (fall 2025) or longer.

If Madonna and her team wrote every song from Like A Prayer in two weeks, Gaga can make LG7 in 8 months, send it to the vinyl factory and release it in March 2024

 

Even if she hasn't written anything, she has more than enough time to make an album in that timeframe. If she wanted to she could even release it in like November 2023.
