It was kind of unsettling at times, obviously fully intentional. The song is very rock and metal on top of the techno and pop so I guess it makes sense. I'm living for the visuals and her having fun like this on a set.

The rules for women playing villains are completely different to men playing villains, it's simply misogyny over the years. Men don't like to vote for women who are "evil." But they have no problem voting for men who play evil characters, whatever, that's another discussion. Only two women have ever won the Best Actress Oscar playing Villains (I'm not talking about anti-heros or "dislikeable characters" I'm talking villains) For men, it's completely different, and not the rule but it does happen. The rules do change when it comes to the Supporting Actress category, again, not at all common but probably less judged by voters.

Y'all need to relax and stop obsessing over Oscars. She's a woman playing a villain, even if the movie was praised, it would still be a long shot for her to win an Oscar playing a villain. Enjoy the red carpet looks, go and watch the film, enjoy her performance. Live for the whole thing.

Joker's likely just going to be covers, I really doubt that even if the movie is successful, the soundtrack will make much noise.

If everything goes well, this song should eventually reach number one. However, if it doesn't, it's nothing to worry about, it's a hit.

I really like the chorus, it's really pretty. It doesn't do too much but they also kinda go off on those harmonies.

Deadpool obviously has a broader appeal, the R rating on Deadpool is basically just eliminating just a chunk of families but it's likely replacing it with young adults that probably wouldn't go to an MCU x-men movie for the sake of it. With Joker, we'll see, there's obviously hype but this is probably just as much of a gritty drama as the first one and then you add the musical aspect and we'll see where the demographics land. One would have to hope women would be more attracted to this one than the first, ergo a bit of a younger Audience as well to offset some of the male audience who is probably put off by the musical aspect.

The stupid comments weren't directed at Simone, they were directed at her teammates. So Simone isn't defending herself here, she's batting for her teammates. And obviously Simone has haters, but this is an ex teammate, I think that's the difference.

Great trailer, I'm really curious as to why they're keeping the musical numbers under wraps so much. We only got Joaquin softly singing in the background for a bit. I really thought we would get at least one small clip of a musical number here. But aside from that, it's a great great trailer.
