oop this needed to be said. i mean i'd love for Gaga to smash with every release but tbh i'm hoping for quality. a good song that bombs on charts > a mediocre song that slays the charts

literally how? She's one of the most polarizing artists we have since like ...ever. And thats where her strength is. Its not dancing, performing etc. 

 

If you dont listen to her thats fine but she's a worldbuilder with many signature flexes that a lot of girls wish they had. Lana is a poet who channels her stories through her albums/visuals etc. Gaga has obviously had her share of these moments as well but she is more of a show-stopping artist so her performances and relevancy in pop culture will always be bigger so whats the big deal? It's not like lana will ever have a performance as memorable as something random from Gaga like her paparazzi vma performance And I love lana but its just the truth ...different artists, different strengths.. Lana also marches to the beat of her own drum whereas Gaga is great as having her finger on the pulse of whats happening...the results are just what happens when she adds her own twist to it. Its the same as taylor having a gajillion streams over artists who you may think have more skill or depth. Her strength is in streaming whereas someone like gaga is more well rounded when considering performing/dancing etc. But w/e agree to disagree.

Gaga has a habit of clinging to one songs success when it becomes a hit, like Million Reasons, Shallow and Rain On Me. She could have used that momentum for another single or two. So if this song becomes a hit, expect her to be performing it constantly for the rest of the year

Also, this song will rely on longevity anyway. Let go of the release date and the album bomb (and kii at people hyping up Future ). And if it's actually a hit, it will be able to withstand a bunch of songs charting in the Top 20/30/40 for a month or so. Charts are bullsh*t now, just focus on longevity and hope it racks up units with time

She always did I think. I've seen multiple videos and I think she says similar stuff during every single Aura performance. But that manic energy was the best part of the Enigma tour along with the robot / Scheisse-Judas-GH set and outfits. Without that manic energy, it would have been just been a slightly above average pop show, but the bad wigs and the cringe sexual screams gave it the iconic certificate
