I hope it’s the lead single off new new album coming this summer. She hasn’t had a proper summer hit since Alejandro

The earliest LG7 is coming is the Fall of 2023

Yeah it’s kinda dead for a single announcement :eli:

As long as it bags an Oscar and maybe a Grammy, I don't care if it flops.

I think The Sun was right about the Film Producer pushing the release date to May 3.. for what?? To help the ticket sales??

Top Gun is one of the most anticipated, it doesnt need an extra push.. **** em for ruining our firat week :chick2:

That said, i'll believe it'll have its moment during the movie week

I can see the military propaganda thing being a small and cute controversy. Is wierd seeing the face of someone who always preaches for kindness paired with conflict. Does kindness not matter when it comes to the US military? I guess Lady Gaga TM is a product like all popstars, and I'm looking too much into it, but there's some bad intended people always waiting for her to fail even if it's just a little. On the other hand, she survived the DWUW thing, a serious and real controversy, and it didn't scalate to something bigger...

Spoiler

plus the L*** M****** Gate never caused her any real problems. Our kindness punk is indestructible me thinks :worship:

yeah i don't think anyone besides twitter lefties / atrl lunatics are gonna really care about any perceived "military propaganda", like it's a ballad for a movie, it's not that deep...

Gays, do not despair

The movie will be the best and biggest promo this will get. Only after the movie is out can the performance of this song be judged.

We need to create Truth Social accounts to promote the song since the targeted demographic are all there I fear

But like, that's always the case with soundtrack singles. I don't think any of the 50 Shades singles peaked until their respective movie came out. It's always the best advertisement to have millions of people watching the film where the song prominently features.

its a military song, Gaga intentions were always to TANK and BOMB with it

The song drops at midnight ET on Monday night/Tuesday AM.

Ads are up on AllAccess for radio.

C'mon radio support :WAP:

I think HAC support is a given, it's become her main radio format since Joanne era. AC is likely too. Pop is the big question mark....if "Shallow" couldn't make a dent there (still one of the most absurd and unfair things about her career) I'm not sure this has a chance.

our expectations for radio should be rock bottom, it just hasn't been happening lately, so we shouldn't be counting on it...

My Spotify still doesn't show the artwork for HMH. I think I was hacked by Miss Tanno.

I’m not gonna get my hopes up but Shallow’s was chart run on radio was kind of an anomaly. It rose up during its initial run in the Top 10 on Pop/HAC/AC and the latter 2 formats never really let it go. By Shallow’s 2nd wind when it went #1 22 weeks into its release, it rebounding on HAC and AC was normal bc it never really left but it couldnt do much on Pop bc once pop drops you you’re kind of done. There are even rarer occasions where that isn’t the case like Heat Waves but doubt they’d do it for Gaga.

I don't think it ever even went Top 10 on pop, wasn't it a peak of like #19? :rip:

Stupid Love (#11) and Rain On Me (#10) were her biggest pop radio hits since 2013 (Applause/DWUW). If we can get into the Top 20, I'll take that as a success. What matters more for her is HAC/AC and getting good streaming support.

That's not a shade to Gaga either, pop radio is super difficult for women as they get older so I'm keeping my expectations modest. She can still get a sizable hit without them at this point given she's an industry veteran.
