I'm not sure about that. The MV being shown during the broadcast automatically exposed it to millions of people (this year's Grammys had around 15 million viewers). After Disease (no shade to that song) the GP had kinda given up on Gaga so it would've been more difficult to get GP people to watch it during those early hours/days. It's just unfortunate that the Grammys aired the same week as the Superbowl.

wasnt really about the peak but about the longevity and exposure. They made the right choice honestly

Also Free Woman demo deserved to be released it had so much more passion and energy than what it was ''polished'' into.

imo her goal this era was longevity, not frontloading a single moment. she wants ppl to revisit the album as a whole vs focusing on the hits. joanne & chromatica eras were carried by a top five hits. dropping a new single on grammys night was excellent and the whole abra era was handled well.

 

for me where she dropped the ball was not having a new single during the coachella–mexico–brazil–singapore run. GOE, HBDUWM, or zombieboy would have worked considering the traction each received following the live performances.

Literally nothing was messy about Abra's rollout  A shame it had to go against the SB effect, but I'd say everything was flawlessly executed. That moment will be remembered for years to come.

GOE and VIY both deserved their mvs during Gagacabana ughhh. A big budget one for GoE and a simple yet beautiful one for VIY (like DWAS' mv for example). Hell even a Joanne Piano Version mv for VIY would've done wonders if released at the right time.
