As someone else said, the GF tends to be won by broader, cross-genre support. Harry's House and When We All Fall Asleep... probably had some rock, alt, and engineering support. Folklore probably had those 3 in addition to some country/folk support, which is a fairly big branch iirc. Cowboy Carter clearly had country/folk support. What benefits Mayhem in the GF is that it's clearly appealing to listeners and musicians outside of the pop sphere.
