She's now 57.8M (+200k) on Instagram and 11.6M (+300k) on TikTok since Abra release :gaycat1:

Coming for the #1 spot on both

jk but at least she's slowly crawling out of the hole of no social gains ever since DWAS launched

anyone know if there is another proper award show where Gaga & Bruno could sing Die with a Smile? When are the iHeart Radio Awards? Obviously we'd prob want her to eprform Abra if she does attend / perform but if she cant plan a live performance for it in time or whatever a cute DWAS performance at an official award show would be great too tbh

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think she's ever released a song where her gibberish/stutters (or spells) are the main chorus. They're usually interwoven, but never the focal point. Eh Eh is the only one I can really think of. Dope could count as gibberish. It obviously makes sense but thought it was an interesting decision.

I'm glad Abra wasn't the "original" lead single tbh, (putting DWAS aside which now became the lead.) Disease is amazing, but it would've been a real shame for Abra to be dragged back with the failure of JFAD clouding over it. At least now Abra/DWAS/Mayhem can carry on separate from all of that.

I think the Grammys were the last chance tbh. I don't think he'd go to Coachella to do that. Feels weird it never got a televised performance.

Closest example I can think of is the "oooh oohhs" from Heavy Metal Lover

Has any major k-pop artist(s) used the song for their TikToks? I saw that Billboard article mentioning Rosé...

imagine if Mastercard aired a Mayhem Ball announcement / presale for their cardholders with Abracadabra during the Super Bowl :jonny:

I think superbowl ads are pre booked like a month advance. I believe we would already know if they were gonna air her ad or not.

+ Superbowl ads are so expensive, idk if they would ever do it but they SHOULD.

October 25th is a very unfortunate release date for a lead in today's music climate anyways. You get hit by the Christmas freeze and your era gets put to a pause, I think disease did what it needed to do nicely.

it was a great song that set up the era nicely and held us off till the era really kicked into gear

What I love most about Abracadabra is that it feels like most of not all the verses could be their own choruses to other songs. It's one song composed of disparate killer choruses from house ("pay the toll"), disco ("hold me in your heart"), electronic ("like a poem said"), dance ("abra-cadabra"), and industrial ("feel the beat") genres all blended together into one masterpiece that has something for everyone.

Choruses are typically the most addictive and memorable moments in a song. When you pack multiple addictive choruses into one song, you serve CRACK.

Yeah. Unlike Stupid Love and Perfect Bomb, Disease didn't leave me feeling bitter about the era's start since we had DWAS dominating anyway. It just ended up being a nice pallet cleanser to head into a darker era.

In the Rolling Stone interview she mentioned her early work having multiple hooks and that she brought that back and Abra is so evident of it

"DIE:agaycatabra: with a smile"

"screaming for me baby, like you're gonna DIE:agaycatabra:"

"in her tongue she said, DEATH :agaycatabra:or love tonight"

these consistent death mentions on the singles yet this is the most alive this fanbase has felt in a while

I saw one reactor earlier and he was trying to figure out the structure of the song, since there were so many different layers and they were all catchy :rip:
