So do we have any idea what the "true" Apple Music position is? The fact that it's dropping a bit has me worried the Spotify update will drop tomorrow too, but not sure if it's actually dropping or if it's just the album version taking streams away from the single version.

Hmmm, I don't think it really has dropped, more so maintained, it went down like 2-3 positions and in return the second version rose all the way up to #105 on Pop AM, so I feel like that probably keeps it at its original peak if not higher

 

Also, the Apple Music play listing was stronger initially, it basically immediately got added to all the big pop playlists, where we will see the play listing impact almost exclusively in tomorrows update, which makes me think it'll be higher. Also more social media hype on tiktok and extremely stable YouTube views is promising

It's not really falling. It remained at 36 for almost the whole day today 

The way Day 3 on YouTube only is gonna be like a 22% or so drop  

Are we all agreed that the best part of the song is the godly post chorus drop? Without that, I'd probably prefer Disease

It's also important to note that 9 of the tracks above abracadabra are from The Weeknd's album, which majority of them will likely fall out of the top 50 in the next week or so like most album drops tend to do. Say 6 of them fall, that'll bring abracadabra to a higher peak

It's really good, but the pre-chorus still reigns supreme for me. The lady in red lyric and cast your spell lyrics are OTHERWORDLY

I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I'm getting slight Texas Hold 'Em teas from this chart-wise — they were both Sunday releases in February and debuted similarly on Spotify. I believe Texas Hold 'Em did better on Apple Music, but it didn't have a video, so Abracadabra's YouTube advantage might negate that. I'd be more than happy with a Texas Hold 'Em sized hit honestly, especially with Die With a Smile already being a career defining level smash on the album.

A THE sized hit would be absolutely amazing. I see it more difficult in the states because of the genre, but it might do better worldwide.
