Well...not too much on 4. :gaycat1: It's a bit more sentimental than naming a fish a fish. We all know she's into numerology and 4 has always been special to her. Plus she said it was the Hive that practically named the album b/c she was going to name it something different. She gave homage to us. We pioneered the whole numerical stuff that everyone else is doing. Another credit to our legendary fanbase.

I know that the number means a lot to her and actually says something about the album (love) but the Hive having named it or not, that doesn't stop that on paper it's like naming your fish "fish".... just like all the other albums that have came later that are named their placement in the discography, it doesn't really do much and seems almost like trying to be different for the sake of it. Less so in Beyoncé's case given the importance of the number BUT, had she just had one song named 4 on the album that played with the number and better outlined it so that you could at least get the idea without having to read wikipedia trivia or be a superfan, then I think it would be a better used title. Like, she already plays with numbers on the album (1+1, the lyrics to Countdown) so having a song called 4 would actually make sense.

I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

but i think all of her album titles are at least a 7.5/10 so they're all great....it's just that one has to be at the end and I prefer the others more.

4 (I get her reasons but it has nothing to do with the music and also is kind of like naming your fish "fish"...it's like...okay?)

:skull:

4 is such an iconic album title what

1. LEMONADE

2. 4

3. RENAISSANCE

4. BEYONCÉ

5. dangerously in love

6. bday

7. i am..

Lemonade is just that girl.

She took centuries of tyranny, black & women oppression, systematic racism, generational problems, infidelity, and cyclical abuse - and simplified it into one word - Lemonade.

After centuries of abuse, blacks and women should be angry, bitter, and upset - but instead, they take all of that abuse and persevere, stand tall, succeed, and make it sweet.

So profound and incredible.

The other titles can’t relate.

This is why Lemonade Is regarded as one of the greatest albums of all times because it reached cultural depths that many haven’t even touched.

I'm not joking, the EXACT same thing happened to me today as well :deadbanana4: I even went into my Music > iTunes > Music > Bey folder on my Mac and the iTunes files weren't there. I was so pissed.

But I remembered a member posting in here a few days ago that they bought the digital album from her site and it still had the Day 1 version, so I bought it today and it turns out they're still sending out the original. Sucks you'll have to buy the album again but seems that's the only way around iTunes' f*ckery

omg thank u tho i will literally do whatever to have my lalalas back it makes the last 15 seconds of the song so transcendent right before BMS

C’mon 2 more album sales! :gayoncecat1:

It's the way I still can't name one single song that's my absolute favorite yet! I love the whole damn album!

Gworl I love and prefer the original versions of the songs but I doubt anyone is gonna pay thousands of dollars in 2047 to hear Kelis’ la-la-las.

as much as I think Drake would eat on Heated, I’m much happier we have her ad-libs and outro instead

Yes. Her IG post holding up a finger and she posted a note on beyonce.com

the official parkwood account posts chart data now on her behalf. they made posts on IG and Twitter.

beyoncé posted a note to her website acknowledging the success of the era and single and pics from her party (when she knew the album was going #1) so she's holding up her finger in one of the pics.

This! It’s a highlight of the album. Listening to it right now… can you just imagine how it’s going to slay on the tour and the visual. I doubt she’ll actually sing it on tour but the dance breakdown she’ll have ready for it will be everything.
