Yes exactly! Plus, a #1 is kind of trivia. The average person in 10 years is not going to know what was a #1 unless they follow charts. Similarly, an average person won't know that Formation was given for free, etc., but it still will remain as interesting a piece of trivia as a #1 and imo something MORE interesting because it speaks more to the art/artist and what they were doing at the time than a simple "it was the top song in the country". It's just more to detail in her career.

I like CUFF IT, but it's like the most basic song on the album. I guess that's what makes it easily digestible, but I really would prefer ALIEN SUPERSTAR or SUMMER RENAISSANCE to really hit and click with the GP.

Realistically, how many #1 hits can Beyoncé squeeze out of RENAISSANCE with proper promo? 

 

BMS could've realistically gone #1 a month or so ago with a video. I wonder if they'll let it ride at the top by itself or immediately push for another Top 5 hit single.

Outside of LTDO (which has already been rewarded heavily), An Evening With Silk Sonic made zero noise. It's a perfect example of one single eclipsing/being bigger than the entire era. If it over-performs in nominations for both genre and technical categories then we should be worried though. 

 

If Ren loses every genre category to Silk Sonic (R&B), Adele (pop), and splits the general field noms with Silk allowing Adele to sweep yet again

Smokin’ Out The Window was a top 5 Hot 100 hit with a viral lyric (“this b*tch…”). That song potentially sweeping the R&B Field puts the album in good standing to win AOTY. 

I’ll be happy if just one of my favorites become a single idc if it flops.

This is true, but peaks and timing are really critical in a Grammy campaign. SOTW reached its peak in Q4 last year while Bey is heading into the voting period fresh off the momentum of a #1 album and single. The subsequent singles flopped (Love's Train didn't even chart and After Last Night peaked at #68) and their album fell off the chart in less than a year. They'll obviously be nominated but I just can't see them winning against an artist with more momentum.

 

Anything could happen and they're still very much a threat which is why the next steps for Renaissance are important. They need to either push a second single hard, release the visual component, and/or release Act II during the voting period like Taylor did with Folklore.

Lol I finally got my boxes and I had to pay an additional 31 € for taxes on top of the 120€ for the two boxes and shipping.  So basically 150 € for two CDs... yeah next time I am waiting for it to be on stores.

If only the poses were pretty like the vinyl, I wouldn't mind. 

I can’t see Cuff It not being successful. It is THAT song.

This lol, it currently has radio play that AS doesn’t have. AS will out run it in the long run

Cuff it isn’t the song that will win her Grammys. AS will, I see even rock listeners mentioning it.

I paid 41€ for taxes, a total of 110€ for the vinyl.  They really need to get it together with the shipping for act ii because I’ve been buying stuff from artists online stores and the shipping never exceeds the price of the products.
