A part of me thinks BMS was a buzz single and it the era hasn't even really started. Since we know she likes surprise releases, I feel like she wanted the album out so people can learn the music, but for some reason I think she has a lot planned.

 

The BMS remix seems out of place for Bey this quick, it's a good thing tbh. And yes BMS is #1, but it is NOT a massive single by any means, so single #2 needs to come hard. I doubt were sticking with BMS through fall.

It is definitely going to spend 9 Weeks in the top 10 alone compared to a certain lead single that spent 9 Weeks in the whole chart run.

I know BMS is the lead single, but technically was it ever announced as the lead single? Especially with the video not being released. Like I feel like she's waiting to do something...

BMS spent its first weeks on the news because people thought Beyonce was promoting the "Great Resignation"

 

it had its own political controversy...plus sales, streams, & radio...its bigger than Formation on all metrics

 

Especially so b/c it did this without a video

bms feels bigger than formation did lol i hear it on the radio all the time  to be honest sorry was the biggest single from lemonade. formation video is still her best vid ever

BMS was the first and only single announced to promote her new album. That's the definition of a lead single.

BMS is having great success but Formation was a whole event. 

Either way BMS is the lead single. 

sorry really felt like more of the moment to me than formation with the becky with the good hair **** in the media and i heard it on the radio all the time. i think break my soul is gonna have legs though it’s nowhere near done
