Bey is not retiring any time soon. she had twins then did coachella, a new album, a tour, then a live album/documentary, another new album, and visual album. and is now doing three more albums :rip: even when she acts like she's taking a break, she isnt

I hope you’re right about that. As if the need for her presence in the industry wasn’t evident enough before, this album release surely is a big reminder of how much this industry thrives off of the cultural renaissance of a new Beyoncé album.

There’s no excuse to leave out Latin America. It’s such a huge touring market Coldplay are doing like 30 dates there and I know people want to see her just as much. Brazil, Mexico and Argentina are all bigger than most countries she visits. Even B and C list artists perform well there. It makes no sense to just stop touring there :rip:

As a Brazilian I can confirm she would 100% sell out at least three stadium dates in São Paulo, and I'm making a very conservative bet :gaycat6:

I know they’re not serious, they can’t just do NA and EU again:rip:

They plastered Posters of Renaissance all over the World, I doubt shes only doing NA/Europe. Maybe as the first leg, but this feels way more WW than the Lemonade era did.

At least add some stadium shows in Brazil, Mexico, Melbourne, Sydney, Tokyo and Johannesburg. :skull:

Opinion: I called out Lizzo and Beyonce for song lyrics. They actually heard me

I wonder they going to star calling out the infinite male rappers that uses the word as well and have been using for years.

Or maybe it's just a Lizzo / Beyoncé thing.

Not to overanalyze things but Heated seems like the latest song where Bey puts Jay on notice regarding infidelity. Do you think Heated is her hinting at Jay messing up again, or if this is just a callback to the past.

Its my current gave song, I find myself going back to it a lot now and really identifying with it. She sounds really gorgeous and I did find it interesting how she clearly had time to say how she felt in detail too about the whole thing. I am in love with the song right now tbh, and then the end part where you just know she was likely tipsy and bopping around the studio.

It's my go to right now.

Also, the juxtaposition between Virgos Groove (which is also highly emotional) and then Heated just reminded me of men I've been with that really do bring you to these cliffs of emotion and leave you there. Her singing about how much she wants him and then hearing how he STILL is making moves around her just brings me back.

Ugh, my fave knows what I need to hear.

I think they should wait at least another week before teasing visuals. people are really enjoying the music right now and we shouldnt distract from that yet

ya I mean she's not gonna do it and I am gonna be totally fine with it.

GOD. her mind.

men are such trash. beyonce is always on time.

Omg I only just heard Bey's background vocals in MOVE from 0:30-0:36. "Grace... Grace Jones.... Grace Jones".

I'm not sure we should read into the lyrics that much and assume he's cheating again :giraffe:

After an entire week of enjoying and digesting the album and now that things have stelled in a little, this is my current stance on it compared to initial reaction:

1.(=) Virgo's Groove - 11/10

2.(=) Plastic Off The Sofa - 10/10

3.(=) Cuff It - 10/10

4.(=) Summer Renaissance - 10/10

5.(=) Break My Soul - 9/10

6.(=) Cozy - 9/10

7.(+1) Alien Superstar - 8.5/10

8.(-1) Pure/Honey - 8.5/10

9.(=) America Has A Problem - 8/10

10.(+2) Heated - 8/10

11.(+2) I'm That Girl - 7.5/10

12.(+3) Move - 7/10

13.(+3) Energy - 7/10

14.(-4) Church Girl - 6.5/10 *

15.(-1) All Up In Your Mind - 6/10 *

16.(-5) Thique -5/10 *

Yeah with long albums like this they always feel a little bloated to me and I just trim to the sweet 12/13 spot. :dies: I did the same with ST which is one of my favorite albums ever; Pretty Hurts & Superpower were gone in a week and I ended up eventually deleting Heaven too. Much smoother listen.

As for Renaissance, Church Girl was intriguing at first but became annoying really fast, and so did Thique; I noticed I wouldn't finish them and just skip to the next song most of the time. AUIYM never gave anything to me and just screamed filler. I learned to appreciate Energy and Move as transition tracks.

Now BMS going into POTS felt a little odd, so I moved Cuff It right after it since AS into CI was a bit jarring too and now the album flows magically for me, I listen from start to finish and don't skip one second.

As for albums:

1.Self Titled

2.Renaissance

3.B'Day

4.4

5.Dangerously In Love

6.Lemonade

7.IASF

Don't come for me about Lem's placing :dies: I can aknowledge it is a better body of work than ranks 3-5 from an artistic point of view, but you just gotta be in a certain mood to listen and really appreciate it so naturally I don't go back to it very often and find her other albums to be more enjoyable listens.

Virgo's Groove has pushed CIL out of my all time top5 songs:

1.Blow

2.Virgo's Groove

3.Partition

4.Naughty Girl

5.Dance For You

Blow is holding strong still because of its video, which also happens to be my all time favorite music video of hers, that **** is perfect. The visual for Virgo's Groove will have to be out of this world for it to overtake Blow for me.

If this album is her Butterfly/TVR/ROL then act ii is gonna be her Rainbow/All For You/Music

A decline in quality then? With Act 3 being her American Dirge/Litter/Damita Jo? Let's hope NOT :rip:

Here's the real tea: Act 2 will be the Evermore to Renaissance's Folklore. The release dates even match up. Act 3 will be her Woodvale (except real)

HEATED is going to be the folding fan moment of the tour. The THWOMPS during the outro tell me all I need to know to be prepared.

OoOoOh, do you want a cookie bish?!

:cm:

if it’s three albums and she’s waiting to release the visuals like this i think it’ll be like 8mo-a year in between not just six months. and a mega huge world tour starting next year :gaycatina1:

Whole lotta reservations, whole lotta
Whole lotta texting with no conversations
Whole lotta playing victim and a villain at the same time
Whole lotta, yeah, money, not a lot of patience
Whole lotta n***** been waiting

They want some time on it, now I wanna flaunt it
Panty and a bra, we can get involved, boy
You keep playing with my heart, boy
I'm just as petty as you are
