It's also annoying people use I Was Here as proof Bey steals credits because Diane is credited as a sole writer.

 

No, it's because Bey rush recorded the song the day the album was due to Columbia and didn't have time to sit with or work on it, which is why it's one of the worst songs on 4, too.

I’m about sick of all these b*tches, acting ignorant to their own industry just so they can dog pile on Bey 

On the Grammy front, I wouldn't be so sure about Bey being shut out and Adele auto-snatching. 

 

I followed the furore around Grammys (Jay, Weeknd, Bey) as well as the recent changes they made. 

 

They have a lot of new blood in there...both on the voting academy and at an exec level and are actively trying to rebrand as being more reflective of the music industry as it is now. 

 

Note how the last two years seemed to give a little something to everyone. Bey had her "moment", they went really left with the AOTY winner this year (Jon Batiste) etc. 

 

So, while I don't think there are any guarantees around Bey winning, I'm not sure that amidst the active change they are trying that they would default to the exact antics that had so many calling their relevance into question.

 

I also am not sure they'd just hand it to Adele given how different the circumstances are for her this era (somewhat front-loaded, not as culturally resonant as previous projects etc).

 

IMO, if not Bey, they'd probably go with one of their trusted/critically acclaimed ethnic picks to minimize any claims of racism or giving to anyone "undeserving". Kendrick or Bruno.
