I don't think I was underestimating per se but I have to admit I wasn't moved by some of her latest songs so I was silently a little anxious but the fact that this was a SOLOYONCÉ era and the continuation of her studio albums was what I held onto and I'm happy I can say my optimism paid off

On the right track kids, but you need to make sure to include the message of said song. It's a take on cocaine/sex in theory and the lyrics constantly play on the idea of being a famous/successful drug dealer and being the absolute best sex ever. America Has A Problem is a reference to the idea of the war on drugs in itself, so the high choreo, early 80s, industrial thing does work, but a bit more sexualized than political. Id be curious if she goes for the whole dance club/coke scene thing with it.

No whitney, no Mariah, no Celine, no vocal trinity or whatever, no Freddie Mercury would've been able to nail all these songs equally. Beyonce vocal versatility is one of a kind and deserves so much more recognition and respect.

I just went and checked my ST and Lem cd booklets and for each song there's a pic with a look from the visuals. I am 99% sure the Ren booklet showcases looks from each song's visual respectively.

Yes but you're actually wrong. She is both an incredible album experience builder AND a vocal wizard who can compose some of the most bizarre vocal structures in contemporary music.

We can agree on that. Regardless, people are still sleeping on how incredible Bey actually is. U dont get sth like this every few years. Shes an absolute gem and one of a kind

I might be reading too much into Church Girl but I feel like it’s more than just a bounce twerk anthem, and actually is Bey breaking free from religious trauma so to speak. Normally the church demonizes and criticizes you for showing your promiscuity and sensuality, but she’s basically saying that you can be a sex god that gets lit every Saturday, but still come to church on Sunday. The only person that can judge me is ME (and god)
