The "no visuals for now" is a bit of a bummer, but if they're coming in the future then, at least, there's that. We could have no visuals at all (something I was prepared for, honestly), and that would be far worse. 

 

Let us stream the music for now. 

And, the music so happens to be excellent. 

Yeah, the more I think about it...they missed the deadline and are covering their tracks. I wouldn't have even bothered with that line. Silence on the matter actually would be less triggering than trying to spin it as some kind of revolutionary act of artistry looooool.

Omg Alien Superstar blew me away and then Cuff It came right along and blew it out of the water.

 Kelis has a small point about courtesy, but it all reads as misdirected anger. 
 

Had Bey reached out, I can’t see how it would be a particularly good convo since Kelis has absolutely no say in the matter. So it would be her listening as Bey says “I’m sampling a song of yours and since you have no ownership over the sound I’m going above you to the producer that you have beef with to approve it. K thanks” 

 

as long as Bey used a Kelis sample that Pharrell owns, this would’ve been a moment….

The Kelis thing is just noise. The Beyhive need to choose their battles better and let that one go. Kelis has been absent from the industry for a while, she is bored and knows Bey is about to release a project tonight so she is trying to get some attention, hoping some common salty haters will stream her work for support. last time i heard she was broke and trying to become a chef, sis is frustrated and as usual taking it out on Bey. What else is knew? let's move on...

In my opinion Lemonade read too much like a soundtrack because many of us experienced the music through the visual first. People have to fall in love and create memories with the music first. Beyoncé does so much visually and sonically I think it would’ve been too much to process. I think it’ll make sense later, that’s just me. 

I like this too because I already feel bonded with the music so adding visuals will make it a heightened experience.

I do think she worked herself too much for The Gift project and now she seems a bit tired of doing the visuals. What i'm confused about though is all the people on social media pretending they worked on visuals with her for months? were they all lying? i'm a bit confused here.

I think the recent negative press/criticism might affect future accolades and reviews, but I'm hoping the drama translates to sales and streams for our girl. That's all we can hope for at this moment. I wish I had a chance to listen to the album before all these comments, but it's only a few hours away now.

 

I really don't think they missed any deadlines. I actually believe they wanted the music to be enjoyed by itself first; the album is too good.

Seriously, I’m a KELIS fan but she is jealous. And I have to un-fan. Petty and it’s childish.

No one is calling paid for hire performers girl. It doesn’t happen. She has delusions of grandeur to think Beyoncé would call her personal for something she doesn’t own. She is trying to have a moment, and ultimately she is bringing more attention to the album. But low key I feel like pissing in her vegan coffee.

Kelis played herself because most of the comments are people defending Bey, LMAO! Even some people who are usual anti Bey are saying Kelis is salty lol. A lot of people also know Pharrel and Hugo own 85% of her work so really why would Bey call her? such a damn clown, sit down girl!

The girls should read the fine print next time.
