She probably conceptualized them around the same time. Perhaps when she started she explored genres even further than Lemonade on one supposed record, and then COVID allowed her to explore genres more expansively and create separate records per field, leading to a trilogy.

1 more show to go and I'm....elated lol.

 

Debated this with a friend the other day, who can't believe this is my stance, but stay with me. 

 

Love Bey, love the tour, love CC, love it all. But I'm really ready for her to punch on to the next thing. Even if Act III isn't coming until Q1/Q2 next year and she sits out the remainder of the year doing just the odd Cecred / Sir Davis thing, I'm ready to wrap CC up. Roll on to the new album.

 

Not to be negative, but with this present-day "just enjoy the music" motive, it's objectively not "as" fun as a fan compared to her days of being omnipresent. I know the visuals etc are coming and we're in the midst of a trilogy, but the point still holds. 

 

Rennie was the outlier because that was truly more than an album, it was a cultural movement (the parties, the virality etc). I'd be more than happy to "live" in those kinds of bubbles as and when she is able to cultivate them (which, for any artist, are rare moments in time and unlikely to ever be with successive albums). But, between CC being more experimental than a "traditional day at the office for Bey" and generally feeling like "it's done what it's supposed to do" (see: AOTY, ignited Black country wave), I'm gladly ready to wave it goodbye. 

 

I lowkey think it's also because a "Rock album" is more in her conventional wheelhouse (6 Inch, Yaya, Don't Hurt Yourself, Freakum Dress), so transpatently I feel it will be "better" (in the context of seeing Beyonce deliver on her Beyonce-ness lol). 

 

My friend and I are at an impasse on the topic, because their take on wanting to stay in CC-land is "some Bey is better than no Bey, so I'd rather savor it for as long as possible". Whereas, I'm of the stance that I'd much rather live for what she has out and anticipate her return during her absences than feel like she/we are participating in somewhat of a stretched-out tick-box exercise. E.g. Album + Tour for Said Album regardless of whether that's the mass appetite. IMO, people love "Bey", I'm not sure I buy that people (esp GP) were dying to see/hear CC album live.

 

That's not to totally dismiss CC as lacking in any way, but I'm very dialed into marketing lifecycles, and I stand by my belief CC was largely a wrap by the end of last year, organically speaking (given the lack of promo/virality). In theory, the Halftime could have been a classy pin on the era, and this year could have been Act III (album and/or tour). IMO, the CCT is a nice cherry on top of a cake that was baked, served, and eaten up last year. 

 

That said, I respect Bey for sticking to her ish, as torturous as it can be lol.

 

In any case, I'm happy to tip my hat to CC/CCT and move on.

It does indeed feel like she/they are teasing...something. 

 

Granted signs point to Act III having a Q1/Q2 2026 launch, it would be cool to see her do something out of the box/unconventional and literally announce the title now to hype it up. Or even something as vague as a trailer teasing the arrival of someone called "Black Betty".

 

Or literally announce her next live thing (especially if it's a Vegas residency) and let the tease be Rock-coded. So, that can drum up buzz for an album that she drops around the start of the residency.

 

In short, I don't expect the album itself now (physicals are a big part of hr sales pie, so she needs solid lead-in windows for preorders over surprise digital drops). But there are definitely interesting and creative things that can do to engineer buzz.

Yeah, they are just seeing things where they want to see them. None of the stuff has been super solid hinting. Reminder that act i and ii were teased literally on her website as B7 and B8. If she wants to start building the buzz, I believe it will be something that the hive picks up on big time. 

All to say, she could be up to anything. It can come at anytime. Keeping the audience guessing is how B thrives. She has an unpredictability kink :P

I actually feel like visuals are coming, logistically makes the most sense. But like someone just said here us anticipating and guessing is good for her.
