The GP is kinda tasteless because they only like the intro to the song. Mainly the lyrics and the all night instrumental. Unless the intrumental is incorporated in to the song I don't see it taking off to the degree that we want it to.

16C is definitely country but its production is so grandiose that I cannot think of single county diva who could have pulled that off. Several of them could have sang II Most Wanted or Protector though.

The key is to make the bridge and or the final chorus of Tyrant also viral. There is endless potential

The point of the Wetter remix was that it actually made sense musically, while this doesn't go beyond the intro, bridge and outro. Am I missing something? 
 

 

And I'm usually the one advocating for us all to show and respect other's opinions in here, but child. . . Not that she's going to, but if there were a chance for her to remix Tyrant, or any of the songs, there's better options.

Not just that, also because she barely promotes and lets the music do whatever it wants to do. Not only is it GOOD, it's not overplayed. Therefore, it stands the test of time and people don't feel obligated to post about it just because "everybody is doing it".

 

Thats why I never gripe too much about her lack of promo. Because I feel everytime her albums (especially the ones that didn't get huge promo treatment) do so well in the long run is because people listen to them with fresh ears. People find out about these gems monthsss later and feel very included and develop a connection with this song that's not tied to mass-marketing.

 

She said it best, she doesn't want quick little hits, she wants ALBUMS. And that's what she's been giving us since the beginning of her career.

Let me be very clear, I certainly don't think it is likely. However, we are due a remix and Tyrant was the obvious choice from the get go (in my opinion at least) and even more so now.

 

Hot take but the 3 Renny Remixes were some of my favourite moments from Act 1. Also Texas Pony Up Remix >>>>>> Original.

 

since she is so incredible at remixing her own songs, and I mean actually remixing, not just slapping on another singer, I think incorporating the viral all night mix with the original plus some new verses would be an exciting challenge and prospect for her/fans. I'm definitely not saying a copy and paste from the TikTok sound 

 

its okay to want different things and it's okay to be hopeful for another remix, considering Bey has been very purposeful and formulaic with these Acts.

It's definitely not likely, especially depending on what she has in store for the tour footage. That could more sensibly lean towards another new song, rather than a remix. 
 

She is purposefully intentional, now more than ever, with how she releases her music & media. With her being in a trilogy, it's even more important not to over saturate the main event with a plethora of side projects, especially ones that are frivolous at best. That being said, I unfortunately think we're wrapping this era up in the next coming weeks and she will not take advantage of "TYRANT" seeing a slow steady climb. I think she's pretty said all she's had to say, and winning 2 Grammys solidified that. She'll be spending her divided between Act III and her family. 
 

How the ever, I'd be here for a remix to "BUCKIN", "TYRANT", or yet another huge missed opportunity, "II HANDS II HEAVEN", if she'd like to play around some more. But ppl have been crawling through X, Insta, YouTube, even Reddit about this damn AN/Tyrant mashup, and I've been in a kerfuffle on what's the hype 🤣❗️

I think you hit the nail on the head. 

 

Bey's latter-day career approach is giving: intentional scarcity.

 

Her projects are skewing more and more intention-driven, but her promotion (or lack thereof) continues to give "limit the supply, increase the demand".

 

I really think her secret sauce is the very thing we complain about. 

 

We (rightfully) want promotion, we want remixes, and all the things. 

 

From her lens though, I have a hunch that it's way more profitable (literally and figuratively) not to overly indulge in anything that "looks" like she's trying. Because the "risk" will not always be worth the reward.

 

Like, imagine if:

 

* She dropped this Tyrant x All Night mix and it...tanks? Dent in her armor (not a big one, but a dent nonetheless)

 

* She dropped all the videos on YouTube, and it doesn't do TS or Ariana numbers? Again, not the end of the world, but a dent in her armor nonetheless

 

* She put all of her marketing muscle behind trying to make ___insert song____ from CC a smash, and it doesn't? Dent in armor.

 

Note that I'm not being ass-kissing Hive. Because I want all of the things we complain that she doesn't do lol. But taking myself out of myself, at this stage of her career and her deliberate (and deserved) presentation as "Queen above all", it benefits her brand to move a certain kind of unbothered, only having a laser focus on the macro, top-line things (album drops, tours, visual projects, and critical acclaim + gross for them all).

 

I don't doubt for a single second that she still cares about success. She 2000% does. I'd even bet she probably would want to do and win with all the things we want her to. But I think she + her team do a smart job of self-governing to very carefully ensure she prioritizes the things she can win with unobstructed and the things that mean the most (and make the most $$$$) in the bigger picture. Focusing on anything else runs the risk of spotlighting certain commercial shortcomings (.e.g not being the biggest streamer), which really isn't smart or needed if you think about it from that angle.

I see we won't get professional pictures for all outfits and I'm already mad at it because if there's a ranking, I'm gonna loose it if I have to look for a quality picture everywhere on the internet and HOPE I won't forget one...

As someone who thought the 'Hangman' section of Cowboy Carter was one of the strongest moments on the album, I'm really glad it's getting its flowers. I've actually never really liked Tyrant that much once the beat drops, I find the production jarring (aware that's unpopular, just my personal opinion), but I do think it's telling that a different instrumental has allowed that song to go viral and shine.

Now on the topic of surprising mashups that shouldn't work but do, may I present this beauty - the choruses are the best parts
