1. The song is too long

2. The only reason it's viral is because of All Night's magical & timeless instrumental

3. The only good parts of the song are the intro and outro, the rest is, respectively, a dud

4. The actual song has no real replay value

In retrospect I'm surprised I Was Here was never a single. It's in the Halo / If I Were A Boy / Adele vein - the kind of song the moms love. They probably intended that with Best Thing I Never Had, but I think I Was Here sounds more like a hit (with the moms).

 

Or maybe she really was over attainting chart-topping hits with 4 and Love On Top being one of her most loved songs by the masses was an accident.

idk why but it feels like she MIGHT get AOTY again...like this is gonna be some of her best work ever. so many of her inspirations like tina and prince LOVED a rock n roll sound and she never fully dipped into it, just sampled here and there. this is gonna be like the culmination of what shes been working towards her whole career if that makes sense. im so ready

Add to that the way she experimented with the genre back in 2016 on Never Gonna Love Again, which is unlike anything we've heard from her we are in for another RIDE

I think we are not ready for what she's truly going to serve with Act 3. This was 2016-Yoncé, imagine her creativity now and during the recording process in 2019-2022  We always just think of the Soul/Funk Rock that we already know she's capable of delivering. But what about all the facets of Rock that she hasn't explored thus far?

I'm very intrigued to see how many more songs Beyoncé has on the AM list. CIL is definitely there, I was not expecting halo to show up so soon though….
