Also she needs to work with Nicholas Ghesquiere more the head of women's LV. I know they're there for Pharrell but Nicholas is a much better designer and could so some serious iconic pieces for her. He did those gold leggings for the BET awards. Imagine if he did something for Rennie. He can do full on scifi in a heartbeat. 
 

I remember reading an interview where he praised DCs style this Tina's looks when he was at Balenciaga, when it actually used to be cool. 

Oh NVM, Pharrell just gifted Beyonce a bag when he did his closing walk so who cares about the formalities. LV just got the picture and press they wanted.

Agreed but I was say the change started with Lemonade and then her confidence grew while making The Gift

"The Gift" deserves it's own tour in 2029 for a 10 year anniversary celebration. I'd love if she would get with all the collaborators and tour in South Africa, Nigeria, maybe Ghana and a few more. Add some North, South American, & European dates too. That album needs to get more attention from the GP.

It's ironic because she gave "Control" the time of day while holding these same sentiments, but proves her point, as she's scrapped it early into the recording of IASF. 
 

It is rather a breath of fresh air to see her unconfined to her old ideology of musical expression, at least for an album and era, has broadened her impression, thanks to self growth, life experience and creativity freedom. 
 

Even on her most Pop leaning record, with the intentions of gaining international stardom in a new dimension, no matter how personal she tried to make the album sound back then, you could still hear her being shackled to her roots of Contemporary R&B. Doubling the singles to make sure the GP is not offended by "If I Were A Boy", "Halo" and "Sweet Dreams". 
 

That's why the thread from "4" to the trilogy is  what makes her one of the most elaborate teachers of music, profound writer and producer, the way she encounters music is different. She's not afraid of blending styles and genres, incorporating unorthodox sounds and instrumentation. Each album since, she's dabbled into a different scope to expand her artistry: melodic hip-hop, country with traces of zydeco, reggae, Afro-pop & afro-beat, dancehall, rock, disco, funk, electro, synth-pop, dub house, house, neo soul, americana, psychedelic soul. 
 

She's at a point in her career where she can do whatever she wants, one of the most coveted moments in an artist career, where you can see who really exudes musical arts and who are placed in front of a microphone by writers and producers. All she wants to do is expound on not only sounds she's mastered, but also new sounds and genre's untapped. I mean, her last 4-6 albums could easily be college courses in music theory, not just vocals technicality.

Done some more reading on the tshirt debate. I just feel like people are being deliberately dumb. Tbh I think someone in her team should have realised the t-shirt needed rewording, but the point of it was clearly to affirm that Black soldiers and cowboys in the US have always been present in the south and that it's important to remember that.

I was legit confused by those posts...  Like the 4 album was her big creative shift, and then came BEYONCE, and Lemonade.   I mean how could you say TG was when she started experimenting when the album prior had songs like Don't Hurt Yourself, or Daddy Lessons, or Freedom.  Mess

The biggest flex aside from the sheer rise of her creativity and Imagination is the preservance of her voice. Bey legit sounds better today than 20 years ago. I don't know another vocalist who that applies to.. maybe Patti, but her choice of genre was always limited. Its literally insane how Beys voice still sounds. The depth, the precision, the dynamics, the intention - just A+ all around.

Lemonade featured the biggest genre swings of her career to the degree that the chief of the Grammy's complained she was hijacking the system through incorporating so many different genres and styles on one blockbuster project.

Lemonade features Country, Rock, Neo-Soul, R&B, Bounce, Soft Rock, Pop, Reggae, Dance, Rap and Hip-Hop.

Beyonce's bold exploration and embodiment of genres that were deemed outside of her original scope (R&B, Dance, Hip-Hop and Pop) started with Lemonade.

Her performance of Daddy Lessons at the CMAs literally went on to inspire Cowboy Carter and this musical trilogy.

 

The Gift was Beyonce's first full-length project that saw her totally shift into a genre that the GP didn't typically associate with her, so I can understand the previous comment that attributes her new style of album-making (which sees her centre a tracklist around a new and specific genre) to The Gift. But in terms of her narrative, Lemonade featured her biggest and most notable genre swings and paved the way for this trilogy (Sorry/Hold Up = Renaissance, Daddy Lessons = Cowboy Carter, Don't Hurt Yourself = Act III).

I didn't say she didn't experiment in the past. It's obvious she did. 

 

What I meant is that the Gift was the first project, album, whatever you wanna call it, that had the cohesiveness of one broad genre that Beyoncé wasn't hugely associated with prior to that.
