In my opinion the Conman Carter Tour got better as I watched more shows.

Anyway I'm sawry but ATRL stays proving Cowboy Carter is one of the most controversial eras in recent times. The think pieces, the meltdowns, the bleaching and illumination accusations, the Daughter lyrics discourse, the art and material being discussed like no other, it's beyond the streaming numbers. Am I ready for this era to be over? Idk... it's The Gift.mp3 that keeps on giving.

I kinda like the drama as it expands the ethos of the album: American history and its' complexities / paradoxes.

If The Gift gave us chart achievements to match the "Wakandification" commentary... I would feel the same about it as I do with CC. We got the drama without the big success in that case, which just felt like a pile-on.

 

I also love to see people grasping for straws to get a gotcha moment after the records have been broken and awards won.

What awards campaign are they wrecking? Nada. What tour is suffering? None.

The kevlar that is good music has worked every time in her favor.

Just for that extra special icing on the cake, I hope she manages to surpass The Weeknd and Bad Bunny in tomorrows update in France. They are both at #16 and #17 respectively while Bey was at #19 on the Artist Page. She would be the biggest International artist then

This tour is absolutely better than Rennie, which I never thought I'd say given how much more I love Rennie compared to the overall Act II project. The issue with the RWT I had was its pacing. It was very stop and start, not just in terms of the overall tracklist, but songs like Cuff It were chopped into small sections with extended breaks which didn't work for me at all. This tour is absolutely relentless (apart from Alligator Tears and JFF, which should have been swapped for II Most Wanted), and the excitement is infectious. Bey has also finally started to use the whole stadium, which is fab.
