the tours are supposed to feel similar in feel. the acts are 1 big project, not 3 separate ones. the aesthetic of the staging is intentional. she wants the three tours to be tied together. it still feels distinct enough, and actually feels LARGER in scope than RWT.

i think seeing it live will change that for u

No, I definitely get that. That's why I said the RWT segment was perfect. It made sense as a shared thread between albums. But some of the other songs sprinkled throughout, like BILG, already had their big moment last tour. It would've been nice to see CC get something more distinctive.

my bet is the greatest hits medley will be the part that rotates songs/switches one or two out/have surprise songs

it's the easiest segment to play around with since she basically just sings snippets of the songs anyway, there's no visuals, backdrop or major choreo during that part + if she sings songs she already did a million times she won't have to rehearse a lot

im also really curious about how the flying segments will work in the open stadiums (which are like half of the tour :rip:). will they build some form of structure to make the flying possible ? will they just cut those and replace them with songs on the main stage (even tho i really don't see her cutting cuff it, jolene and 16C) or will she connect the B-stage in a way that doesn't need flying to be reached?

Yeah, she'll change up that segment just like she did the opening ballad segment of RWT

well yes, but unlike CCT, she didn't add any songs to RWT, she only took some away :suburban:

she's also playing around with the new tour a lot more and is clearly still figuring things out (adding haunted to tyrant, the new intro, switching around acts etc…) whereas RWT seemed a lot more rigid since day one. a II Most Wanted performance with miley is definitely happening as well.

add to that the different setlists/city exclusives rumor coming from multiple different people and it kinda adds up :michael:

The Jordan Peele references THIQUIIN … someone on TikTok mentioned what if "Cowboy Carter" is the character in the alleged visuals. And my own prediction—what if "Betty Black" represents the current state of events? According to Google—the song "Black Betty" represents the current state of events within the prison system… a current and ongoing reality. I think act iii could obviously represent the current as act i was FUTURE and act ii is PAST. This would go along with the Echoville lore as well as The Echo newspaper. I forget where, but someone mentioned during RWT that Beyoncé would tie all of these together using different forms of media which seems like act iii could potentially be print/newspaper. Beyoncé, her miind.

I told the group this pages ago, I mentioned that she was basically using the BeyBowl as a rehearsal for the tour setup.

I get @sillycilla's points for sure.

Personally, I think I've "finally" begun to swallow the pill Bey isn't emblematic of that whole "you have as many hours in the day as Beyonce" thing. Sis is getting her practical on to the max.

She is busier, more proven, and more achieved than ever. She's also cottoned on to the slightly annoying fact that her money stacks up the same regardless of whether she's operating at B'Day/IASF levels of sleepless nights and determination or whether she auto-pilots / scales back. Same goes for the accolades she receives and the perception of her crown.

And I'm not even saying that as Kiss Ass Hive. Because I DETEST when stans almost revel in the reality that their fe doesn't "have" to do as much to still "win" anymore. At the same time, I'm just being actual and factual.

I recall recently reading dancer posts about Beyonce Bowl. And it was very telling. One of the assistant choreographers thanked another choreographer and said something to the effect of "we did it, even with two weeks to put the show together?"

TWO WEEKS?! Wasn't Bey promoting it for a month plus before? Meaning, if it's verbatim, she was promoting a show that hadn't even begun to be put together yet.

IMO, we're in a very different season of her run. Total conjecture, but I legitimately feel like (for her to genuinely be effective across her family life, businesses, and music commitments), she's now on some "y'all, I can give you two solid weeks of rehearsal and that's that". I get the sense that everything from production to music to technical ish can and does effectively start to happen before she hones in. We know she has a long-running "stand-in" on payroll for everything from shoots to tour to more.  Bey is probably giving loose directives and instructions from the side, but I maintain that it's giving that she comes in at the production stage with a fixed allocation of time to give, likely with a ton of notes, and progresses from there. That's not to take away anything from her process or contributions, but I think even she has been verbatim about the fact that the days of endlessly pouring in are done.

Yesteryear Bey rehearsed months and months for Revel when it was a mere string of dates. Same for Coachella. You get the sense that Bey of before would rehearse for three months for a 1 month tour. That just doesn't fit with her life of now. Hence why - to not lose my original point - I agree that the latest tour doesn't feel like the biggest incline from RWT and does feel like an extension of Beyonce Bowl.

This all feels like an unavoidable fact now with Bey. And I'm ok with it, because even her more practical/scaled-back approach is head and shoulders above everyone else's most measured effort.

I actually really like this theory, especially the idea of Act III being tied to print media or a newspaper format like The Echo. It would be such a smart way to wrap everything together. That being said, I've always felt that Renaissance, despite some of the futuristic visuals, actually represents the present. The lyrics felt very grounded in the "now" like "voting out 45, don't get out of line," which hits hard considering the demon's back in office. And with bey saying that after covid she just wanted everyone to have fun. If CC was originally intended to be Act I, that would make it the past, with Renaissance as the present, and Act III naturally taking us into the future. It's almost like she just switched the release order of Ren and CC, but the timeline still holds.

IDk just my thoughts.

I mean I get what you're saying but I think it's solely aesthetically and visually what we should look at. In terms of music, Renaissance could also be considered the past due to the samples.

While I am prepared to be blown away by the visuals and actively hope we've been getting hints this whole way, I equally feel like I've stanned Bey long enough to know that she's not "that" much of an Easter egg girl in the way of a Taylor, for example.

Sure, she teased Renaissance before. And yes, we got the horse heads up in that same Harper's Bazaar magazine feature. But, iono, I always cringe at those elaborate TikTok's and tweets alleging "this means this and that's connected to that". Maybe it's because I've seen it applied so wrongly to stuff in the past, stuff that any steadfast fan would have known to be wrong already.

Again, I'd actually gag in the best way if it were true, and all signs point to the visuals (especially with Nadia Cohen's input) being some quirky, left-field ish. So we'll see.

Sidebar: While I love Jordan Peele, some of his films are excessively left for literally no reason. So much so that the plot tends to play second fiddle to the OTT quirkiness. If he's involved in Bey's visuals, I hope it still has a middle appeal in that it doesn't push to be so left that it goes over people's heads. Bey's "brand" has never been OTT quirky either (be that her music, fashion, etc). So, between Nadia, Jordan, or whoever, I hope it doesn't drive too far down a random route.

Well yes, I feel like CC and Ren used the past a lot. I believe act iii will use some of those elements but also take us into new sounds imo

Is it that the tour borrows heavily from BeyBowl, or is it that BeyBowl was an excerpt taken from the tome that is the CC Tour...

Personally, I find all this discourse nauseating because it's a never-ending cycle of nitpicking, complaining, and comparing. Because for all the praise the RWT is getting now for its moments, a quick scroll back to base conversations in May and June 2023 would show that these were not the same sentiments being espoused then. Instead, it was more complaints about her lack of movement, too many REN tracks vs. GP hits, and strange setlist choices (RDY, I Care, BP, Partition on the tank).

The mute challenge wasn't a thing for at least 10 shows, Diva being on the setlist was a point of contention, the initial slew of opening looks was met with a lot of :deadbanana: and  (the whole ballad section in fact), new dancers were being called sloppy and lacking the Amazonian vibe, even Heated didn't morph into its eventual Club Renaissance climax until a good chunk of shows in... So maybe just allow the show to naturally blossom, or better, attend a date first, like

Nothin' really ends, I guess

This new Levi t-shirt thing her shop is pushing is getting on my nerves for the simple fact of...why so late?

The whole Levi collab feels kinda cold and corporate, which is weird because it should tie in with the era so easily....yet feels so mute.

But I don't know if it's the "nothingness" of the commercials, the lack of push (why isn't it plastered all over the screen before the show starts), or the the lack of making the Levi's the attendee outfit of choice for the CC tour (kind of how Rennie had a loose dress code). Maybe it's everything. But iono, it's all kinda...nothingy.

I think alot of hardcore fans are having trouble adjusting to change. Obviously, we know she's older now and priorities have shifted within her life both physically and in real life. So it makes it "easier" to be able to nit-pick (for lack of better word) her current approach to her brand.

Reminds me of the change curve model. Alot of fans are probably stuck in the Denial/Anger phase. Not calling anyone angry here lmao, but more so initial hesitation to accept 2025 Beyonce vs 2015 Beyonce.

Sure, love that for you. But let's not act like people can't have valid critiques without it being called "nauseating." I get that RWT had its early complaints to, but that doesn't mean people weren't also recognizing the standout moments as they happened. I recall fans in the US pointing out that Beyonce expected fans to be silent during "mute" and Europe wasn't catching on, dil was instantly loved, etc. Over time, those moments built momentum. With CCWT, the issue is that it hasn't had that breakout moment yet, it feels like it's still sitting in the shadow of BeyBowl and RWT instead of defining itself. And yeah, maybe BeyBowl was pulled from the tour, but the point is it was marketed and experienced as its own thing first. So when a lot of it shows up in CCWT without enough transformation, it doesn't hit the same. Let people react in real time, it's not that big of a deal.

Yall just want people to praise or be mute, that's exhausting.
