she had the most "elaborate" opening lineup in Los Angeles. DJ Khaled brought out 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, Roddy Ricch, Doechii, Lil Wayne, YG, Big Sean, Coi Leray, Lil Durk and Offset for LA N1 and N2, while Kaytranada opened for her birthday show.

half of these should count as hate crimes, might as well let garbaj and her rapist on that stage :clack:

kaytranada's hating ass could've been kept as well

I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

Its crazy to see how much CC impacts performance fashion among musicians tho. Sis really is the blueprint :jonny6:

Y'all give LMs a little too much, let them be delusional.

Nobody cares about that damn performance outside of her stans, Beychella/Homecoming is literally the most talked about performance post the death of mono-culture. Nothing Gaga does has reached that no matter how much they want to convince themselves.

Another aspect people don't mention is how well bey's coachella performance works as a live album.. it's one of the most streamed live albums of all time for a reason. The arrangements, the live vocals, the transitions.. it's a masterpiece. If I play a song from that album and i end up listening to it till the end :rip: it's too good

Gaga did a phenomenal job with her set from what I've seen. She deserves the acclaim she's receiving. But Beychella is the standard for a reason. I think too much went into Homecoming as a project for it to be ever overtaken - at least not anytime soon. She re-invented the festival performance, re-invented how they were shot, brought her own bey stage and scaffolding, it served as a 20 year career retrospective and a re-introduction post twins, while also being in totality a rumination on black musical tradition. It was timeless, viral and majestic. And she finally showed the general public (on a fully accessible scale) just why she deserved to be known as the GOAT.

I mean plain and simple: it was legendary. Its one of these performances that went down in history like MJs first Billie Jean performance, Whitney National Anthem, Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock. Like Bey did THAT

I'm not sure Daddy Lessons will be on the set list. I somehow feel 4 is in her heart and soul and her favorite album so she'll  perform more songs from 4 than from Lem, ST, IASF, Renaissance

All love to you ma'am, but please point me to whichever reality Daddy Lessons isn't going to be on the setlist for the yeehaw tour

I had no idea she had an opening act in the US. We had none in Europe.

In London we had Shygirl!

Does anyone recall her talking about the advancement of AI and challenging ppl's attention spans for CC? I recalled her doing that in the GQ article but I only found the Club Renaissance intro for the latter and the CC press release for the former.

Kitty Kat is just too good of a song. ITS TOO GOOD!!!! :jonny3:

Mind you she was 24 when she recorded it :jonny2: I feel so inadequate when I think about Bey too deeply. Stanning her is a double edged sword truly

Take the better part of the edge sword, she motivates us to be our best selves.

And yes, Kitty Kat is one hell of a song.

I'm listening to it right now and it aggressively reminds me of 2011 when I was first getting in to (I was always a big Bey fan growing up but didn't own B'Day, idk what I was doing in 2006 probably stanning Fergie or Gwen like every white gay millennial) and it's sooo nostalgic. I remember even in 2011 thinking wow this sounds fresh 5 years on. And that has just continued to now. I haven't sat down with this song in ages but it was my first fave on the album because it was soooo R&B. But this production is another level of smooth I think because I'm wearing my good Sony headphones lmaooo. Oh productionyoncé

I think about the fact that Beyoncé was 17 when she was recording TWOTW all the time. She is such a ******* treasure and it makes zero sense to compare your life to hers. She literally had THE BEST support system for her life and career. It made her the star she is today and I'm just grateful I get to witness her greatness from afar :clap3:

No you're so right :clap3: I love that we've been able to see the consistency and the whole talent grow over the decades. People can call her overrated and whatever for being talented but she is the true definition of a star that got to reach her full potential and I loooove that. I mean the live performances alone… but the fact the music backs up her extraordinary talent for performing whewwww

The production, THE BASS!!! The way her voice floats on it like a warm, beautiful, breezy day :alexz3:

The way it's definitely Donk's older, richer sibling :clap3:
