They can try to put their performances on the same level as much as they want, but Beyoncé's Coachella set works even without watching it because just from a musical standpoint it's a masterclass in execution. And that's why it's also an acclaim and successful live album.

But "theatrics" or "pop culture" or whateves. :toofunny3:

Perfectly summarized Beys marketing and branding

Gaga pulled off one hell of a show that only SHE CAN.  As a pure performer, she's not on Beys level but her Act I and Act II are pure master class in performing art and she put on an A CLASS entertainment. No one could had pulled off her live vocals other than Bey, even Bey can't sit down on a piano and holding guitar while singing the way she can; she plays piano WAYYYY better than Taylor. Her dancing is a stiff and awkward but she's smart enough to center her show around her awkwardness. She was out of breathe almost the entire show but she hit almost every note;

Not y'all comparing her to KATY PERRY QKSJWHwhhdue this is why Liddos are soo insecure and they attack like brainless rats!

Not really. Gaga was audibly struggling vocally and gasping for air, even with a super loud backing track that she let take over fully multiple times. I won't even mention the awkward, juvenile dancing. To even compare her technical skill to Beyonce is an insult to the latter. Yet Beyonce is constantly insulted and diminished as "smoke and mirrors" by people threatened by her pure technical prowess. That's without taking into account her conceptual ambition and skill at formulating ideas. The southern gothic of Lemonade, the tribute to HBCUs in Homecoming, the reclamation of genres that were started by Black people and were whitewashed, these are brilliant, pure ideas that give each era a simple hook that's way more fresh than rehashing being a monster for the billionth time. I agree that there's no point arguing with deluded stans that say Gaga showing up in a tall dress trumps the sweat, blood and tears Bey put into her performance and THEN have the nerve to accuse Bey of smoke and mirrors but I think if you want to call out someone, it should be the people that call pointing out structural racism as "pulling out the race card" and "so 2015" as opposed to Bey fans rightfully pointing out Gaga's very obvious technical deficiencies compared to Beyonce.

That's what happens when you use head mic instead of hand held mic. Offcourse a brain rot would never understand the concept.

OT : I re-re-re-re-re-watched beychella today. Damn the chills every times ******* time i get when she opens her mouth to sings " I care ".

i want many songs from 4 and BIK to be included for the CBCT setlist

Spoiler

I wouldn't mind if she ignores reni and lem for the upcoming tour

i really liked most of her set and it's definitely one of the all time best coachella performances but that one liddo saying she outshined vocally like bffr :rip:

she was off key so many times, her tone is still often unbearable, the backing track was heavy, the dancing's mostly awkward or downright bad (especially compared to her fabulous dancing back in the day) and after the first two acts the energy was lacking and never really came back. i know she got that illness/hip thing or whatever but her having to perform in those ugly orthopedic boots when bey was dancing in high heels fresh off the operation table multiple times in her career truly says it all. nobody compares :clap3:

I truly hope Lemonade and Bday get their fair due this tour + some gems of IASF. To me, these 4 albums work the best together in terms of message and sound

Okay I'm sorry that I pointed out the great things about GAGA's show damn it even though all the criticisms you mentioned in your post can also be found in mine. I'm just a theater kid who love art after all.

I need a break from this forum!

I totally agree with you, and I'm really hoping this is her coachella like road show, which I kind of expected was going to happen with those cancelled tour dates around Covid.

I mean the big live instrumentation at the Bey Bowl really makes me hope that's what we'll get, and if we do, could you imagine B'Day!?! Ugh....

Is hitting off key notes also because of the mic? I see the wheel of excuses is still going strong.

As for calling ME brain rotted when YOU come into Basé to start a stan war... the jokes write themselves.

I'm not starting any stan war, I'm just pointing out that she is using head mic and i have posted many times in this base before so you can stop breaking your heel 🥱

Plus I'm one of the liddo who sided with bey when this dumb thread opened.

anyways this tour is THEE occasion to finally include lemonade songs that aren't formation. i get there was no place for angry or sad songs at RWT since it was all about celebrating. but if big mama doesn't at least include daddy lessons (i can see her ass skipping it bc it's too pReDicTaBLe), a sorry appearance, all night, 6 inch and even don't hurt yourself and freedom :rogue:

they all fit sonically and thematically with CC's songs and with all the non-stop hate she got this past year, trump being back, looming war and economical collapse she has every reason to show off her more angry & aggressive sides. especially if she segways into a darker, grittier era after the tour. plus imagine the mashup possibilities, a 6 inch/haunted/tyrant mashup would be a dream :WAP:

The fact that Bey had 2.2 million mentions for her Beychella, while the most recent one only had 160k
