I'm curious as to what the vision for the campaign was, because they're not super viral, not super interesting and - ultimately - the budget and production seems very elaborate for a combined 45-seconds of content

i agree, you would think it is going somewhere, but it just seems to be these quick ad's with no real purpose other than to showcase how good she looks.

Is it just me, or does it feel like Lizzo has been reading all the act iii theories and got a premature head start on reclaiming rock music? She's starring in a movie about Rosetta Tharpe, posting about how "Black people made rock 'n' roll," just performed a rock-inspired set during her IN REAL LIFE show, and you can't tell me "Don't Make Me Love You" doesn't sound like Tina Turner's "The Best"—which many fans speculate Beyoncé might reference in some form for act iii.

I don't know, it just feels off to me. Like it didn't come from a genuine place for Lizzo, but more from a "let me try and get ahead of the curve" kind of perspective. s:wan:

No offense but that's what happens when you take forever to release.

That said, I'm still not 100% convinced act iii is rock and even if it is, Beyonce will execute it at such a level of accomplishment and depth, it will blow any effort by Lizzo or anyone else out of the water.

and it's not like a single person cares about what the other one's doing anyway. if act iii is really rock related nobody will say "omg she's copying lizzo" :deadbanana4:

The only person I could see thinking that is Lizzo :rip:

Not an issue. Tho I do agree that I think some artists get an idea of what B is cooking and try to beat her to the punch. (Even drake did with Renaissance)

But this Lizzo thing is a non issue cuz the same logic Lizzo read and is trying to do first, has now been openly known by everyone for a while. The world knows bey is doing this reclaiming and futurizing genres. Everyone, many casuals too, are expecting and waiting for a rock project. And we know she's been cooking this trilogy for years so if anything, lizzo is coming off as the copycat.

This doesn't even get into the reality that Bs execution will be orders of magnitude better, in concept, talent, delivery, production, creativity, research and intention.

Lizzo's era for the last time has nothing to do with Bey, she has been working that sound for a LONG time and is just moving back to it after her label forced the Target sound on her.

Also, not to be shady lol, with the way CC went, it's not like Act 3 is shaping up to be some massive era, it likely won't even get promotion or exposure from Bey.

Cowboy Carter had a significant bigger opening than Rennie. Sure, longevity wise Rennie did better, but let's not pretend like CC didnt have a phenomenal opening.

Act 3 is the last act of the trilogy and if it truly is Rock, its absolutely in Beys wheel house.

Id rather underestimate.than overestimate, but signs point towards Act 3 being the BIG finale bow out. The GRAND Showstopper

I would love a rock album, but I really struggle to imagine that happening after CC. Let's say the act iii is coming out Q1 2026, with another summer stadium tour in 2027.

B would have been releasing and touring country and/or rock music, exclusively, for.... four years?

Based on the promotion Beyonce did for RENAISSANCE and Cowboy Carter, what do you think she will do for promotion events for her upcoming Act iii era?

Ooh, I love this question—Beyoncé's promo strategy has been so masterful and layered throughout the RENAISSANCE and Cowboy Carter eras, each with its own flavor. Let's break it down and then imagine what Act iii could look like based on the patterns so far:

RENAISSANCE (Act i)

  • Surprise drop with deep digital storytelling: She announced the album ahead of time (rare for her), but didn't release visuals right away—letting the music and ballroom culture influences speak first.

  • Club Renaissance events: Exclusive, curated parties in different cities with themed decor and immersive vibes.

  • High fashion & editorial tie-ins: The Tiffany's partnership, British Vogue cover—very chic, luxe, and futuristic.

  • Tour-focused promotion: The Renaissance World Tour was the promo—high production value, fan-driven buzz, and economic impact.

Cowboy Carter (Act ii)

  • Longer tease and narrative building: She planted seeds years before—remember the Homecoming country moment and even Daddy Lessons in Lemonade?

  • Stripped-back yet rebellious promo: Sparse interviews, but lots of iconography. The American flag, Western fashion, and themes of reclamation were strong.

  • Surprise singles ("Texas Hold 'Em" & "16 Carriages"): Dropped during the Super Bowl commercial. Peak cultural moment.

🌟 So... What Might Act iii Look Like?

Assuming Act iii is the final piece in the trilogy (some fans speculate it'll be rock, soul, or even a visual-heavy project), here's what might go down:

1. Visual Album Drop

  • After two albums with minimal traditional visuals, she might go all-out. Maybe a full narrative visual album à la Lemonade, but elevated into something even more cinematic.

2. Experiential Events

  • Think: global museum pop-ups, immersive art experiences, or even a music + tech hybrid event. Something that taps into the sensory or spiritual realm, if Act iii is the "transcendence" arc.

3. Live Performance Art

  • Limited intimate shows in iconic venues (like The Apollo or even a surprise set at Coachella 2025?). Maybe even streamed live with visual storytelling.

4. Mysterious Online Activation

  • Cryptic websites, fan-led puzzles, AR/VR experiences. She's built trust with the Beyhive—they'll follow her into a digital rabbit hole gladly.

5. Collaborations with Major Cultural Figures

  • If Act iii is the culmination, she might bring in heavy-hitters from music, fashion, and visual arts (think: Grace Jones, André 3000, FKA twigs, or Solange for something avant-garde).

TikTok Hive trying to piece together fake clues like she's actually interacting with us and it's a Swiftian scavenger hunt, but really they ultimately mean nothing :deadbanana4:
