For gifs just get the image web address and it should pop up automatically. For videos and tweets the same. Instagram posts it will just be the link, the content won’t show.

for the girlies who don’t watch drag race, in the last year we suddenly got like 5 Beyoncé lip syncs after not having anything but DC lip syncs for years. And Tina appeared as a guest judge as well on one of the seasons in the last year.  Just feels like a potential there could have been some elbows rubbed recently between the two teams and it has me thinking Ru could be on the project somehow, if not a few of the Drag Race queens potentially making some cameos in the albums (potential) videos.  I could absolutely see Bey booking Shangela, especially after she performed a tribute to Bey literally in front of her at that GLAAD ceremony.

But I don’t think the whole album is about ballroom culture, there might be other visuals where drag queens might fit just fine.

The fact that she chose to work with Honey Dijon shows that she’s aware of how she should do things. I’m sure she’ll be very intentional about who she incorporates. I’m sure she thoroughly researched; this is Bey we’re talking about. In the Vogue behind the scenes, she was incorporating some old-way vogue movements in her poses in the pink look, which was the popular style of voguing in the 80s. Those small nuances are indicative of the direction.

my close friend’s roommate just told him she was “an extra in a Beyoncé video last week.” We live in LA and she is a PA.

It’s more of her past history with ballroom/black gay culture in particular that would probably get her dragged going that route. Bey, or someone on her team, has been aware since at the very least 2005-06. It’s no shade to RPDR and pageant culture but there’s a difference (somewhat racial) between the two that mainstream doesn’t really acknowledge. Bey’s brand from voguing to j-setting has always leaned more towards specifically the black gay subculture not the mainstream one.

I have a feeling she either just filmed the video for BMS recently or she redid it. We are still in a covid world so everything will take longer, perhaps she had to test everyone on set before filming and it made the entire thing more tricky to film and they are now editing. Didn't big Freedia said he was filming something with her recently? he said that like on Sunday i think. I dont think she would be inviting him to film anything else that's not BMS. My theory is that she filmed videos for other tracks on the album but she decided to reshoot BMS last minute which would explain why it's not out yet.

Wishful thinking but maybe the intention was always for the film to come all at once with or after the album and not be dissected and she's now decided to give BMS a standalone visual. This would be my ideal scenario because I now kinda expect a film but also want standalone visuals for the singles. Imagine the serve if it's a fully fledged film that incorporates some of the music but we also get traditional style videos on the side.
