And they've been adding dates as they go along in addition to Live Nation re-branding it as such… With the rumors of Jay's album being done, more shows in LA coming up, I wouldn't be surprised if this trek continues into 2027. Why are y'all so agitated in here?

It's considered a tour, JAYZ 30 Tour. Memphis Bleek has called it that and you'll see it being called that in multiple reviews now too. The 56-year-old rapper, whose real name is Shawn Carter, performed on September 4 and 5 as part of his JAY-Z30 anniversary tour, marking his first solo UK shows in nearly a decade. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2026/sep/05/jay-z-30-tour-review
  3. Genuinely asking, what exactly would count as part of Taylor's iconography?

The E.T reference where her "robot" finger from the Renaissance tour visuals makes contact with her "real" finger during the CCT interlude is proof enough, for me, that she's not making things up as she goes. Not to mention the "red cowboys" that show up in the glass windows (ending of CCT saloon/bar interlude) which are same double doors she opens in the beginning of "I'm That Girl" to exit
  5. Lindsay's list of celebrity hook ups. Lindsay vs Paris just for the iconic, "I never said that. I love Paris.." moment. Before Ozempic, there being Rachel Zoe.
  6. I don't disagree, however, it's not just the women in entertainment. They shouldn't be singled out when the men are looking like lookers too

I was seeing flyers for these type events 2 weeks ago. But wasn't clear if it was official or fans organizing The ones listed in that post are all on Friday September 4 ending around 12am or 1am

I agree. I wasn't necessarily trying to figure out what her plan was or anything, just thought it was interesting and something I had never heard of before. But seeing all the posts here with the new photos and side by side covers made me think of the CCT alligator visual and microphone stand. So I was curious if there was any sort of connection and turns out there was. That was all. Looking further into Beyoncé's work has become kind of a hobby of mine - found a lot of great books and authors (bell hooks, Roxane Gay & Audre Lorde), films and such.

Today I learned AlligatorHorse is an actual term and depicted as a hybrid animal with southern roots from Mississippi/Alabama to New Orleans…this detour doesn't seem totally left field now for me now

Not being argumentative but from my understanding she owns masters for anything created after Parkwood was formed so that's 4 til present. DIL, B'Day and Sasha were/are still owned by Sony.
  11. Potentially. Emily D Baker is covering the trial, if you have or had any interest in Big and Pac murders it's worth at least listening to her daily case brief podcast. But it's way more details in the full livestreams, it's the stuff you only think happens in movies.
  12. Being a black gay from the south, I, like Beyoncé, would also say I didn't grow up "listening" to country music but it was definitely played in my environments. I do love some classics from the genre. They aren't on any playlists but do get some streams from time to time when I'm feeling nostalgic.

Maybe there's a potential ownership angle at play with this reissue. If that is the case, it makes sense why B'Day was the first of the 3 albums to get a reissue.
  14. Ari29 replied to DivaCup's topic in Base
Does anyone know if these B'DAY: 20 Years Later events are related to a roll out or just fan organized events? I'm seeing listings so far in NYC, Atlanta, NC, & Philly

I wasn't really clear in my initial post, but I didn't mean the entire 3 act project itself was a misstep - the handling and forward facing communication of it is, imo. There's too much confusion around it not to be labeled as such. Also feel like calling it a trilogy created an unofficial time frame - I may be in the minority but i thought we'd be wrapping up this trilogy by 2027, now it looks like it'll just be starting in '27. I have no complaints about the musical output (except that Morning Dew remix) just wish the messaging was more clear.

The 3 act project sounded good in theory, but I feel it was just too ambitious. Now it's become a bit of a mess and seems all over the place with no real direction. Seemingly a rare misstep for her. But I firmly believe her perfectionist nature is fully to blame here.
  17. Peabody Award Winning. Only a select few can claim that
  18. Ari29 replied to DivaCup's topic in Base
Because seriously would Cowboy Carter, and by extension all the acts, even exist without The Harder They Fall? Some of CCT visuals could fit right into the movie quite honestly.
  19. What were the lies? Everything she's said from Diddy even this clip of Katy Perry has been true. She was disliked, not hated, by the likes of Whitney and Mariah because she showed them to be who they really were, flawed human beings that happened to be talented
  20. This is just my second full length Madonna album experience, the first being Ray of Light, and I'm actually blown away by this project. One Step Away, to me is like "classic" Madonna - in my top 3 of her discography up there with Bedtime Stories and Nothing Really Matters.
  21. Initially in the Beyonce base I was on the side of defending him since the boycott was ended months before this announce…however, like one of the tweets in the OP said, you start to see a pattern. The Rick Rubin doc was the final nail in the coffin for me. The Carters are really insidious grifters.

The organizers of the Target Boycott formally announced its end months ago after meetings with the CEO. That matters.
  23. Ari29 replied to DivaCup's topic in Base
All the uncemented legacy talk made me curious about an investment in Beyonce I made …and well, yeah, that legacy is set in stone.
  24. Why shouldn't they? Outside of Bootylicious, if you just heard them, what's the difference? Those are Beyonce songs.

    Göt2B sooner than 2027
