Idk why y'all don't let them just talk in circles. There's no fighting with these people and they aren't looking for reason or to be swayed.

I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

It's funny when they resort to "high notes are so boring" as if we're so oversaturated in pop music with amazing, pristine, soaring vocals that we should crave generic singing as the most entertaining form of vocal showmanship.

They’re not lying though that the engagement is different. If y’all haven’t noticed I’m a TikTok girlie and I see eras stuff all the time, videos are easily 2-3 million likes of fans and Taylor.

Tay has a young fanbase, it's mostly teens/20's. Look at the crowds at Bey, it's not that anymore. Tay has the same crowd as Harry which also dominated Tiktok.

Oh man lol.. If I was in my super petty fan days I would thread a Taylor vs Beyoncé vocal and dance moments and ask who’s the better performer lol.. they wouldn’t dare.

To me it just seems like all this foaming at the mouth is coming from the fact that Beyonce is quite frankly the step of the ladder taylor will never be able to climb over.

No matter ho much commercial success she amasses she will never see the same reverence and acclaim nor be regarded as 'the best'. She's reached a point where that's the only thing that could elevate her status further but lacks what it needs to achieve it. They know it and it's what infuriates them to no end.

and don't call people karens :rip: it's so childish and name calling always makes you look like the loser

Not them admitting they like Taylor's shows more bc they can't do high notes either and it's easier to sing along oh my. :deadbanana4:

She has a younger fanbase. Bey's stans are approaching or in their 30s, we're old af. It's gay death for us.. this must be what it felt like to be a Madonna stan in the 2000s oh wow. :rip:

Ooop, tea spilled. I think that’s exactly what it is.

I get all of that! I’m just annoyed as a fan that Beyoncé could still be doing much better on engagement if she just promoted a song or album. She put a stop to her own demand with streaming and a little with the younger generation.

Beyoncé still has young fans lol. I think that’s what makes this era feel unprecedented. Not the success but the fact that she’s still “cool” after 25 years :jonny: madonna for example did not have that going for her

Also didn't she have some payola-esque partnership with TikTok that the CEO revealed to Congress, that's why it was popping up on everyone's fyp :rip:

The strings they pull marketing-wise is leagues above to whatever our indie girl is doing. :priceless:

Imagine if Bey appealed to kids. Im glad she doesn’t though, because that would affect the quality of both the music itself and performative style and visuals. It’s a sexy, fun flamboyant show for grown men and women, queer, white, black, and brown. She arguably has the the most culturally diverse audiences of any MPG which sets the tour apart imo. Most to all of the people buying Beyoncé tickets are purchasing them with their own hard earned cash whereas the other on has at a hefty portion of ticket purchases coming straight from white suburban mom/dads, which in itself makes the demand that much higher (especially in the US) compared to most artists, Beyoncé included. Hence articles like this and that

there is no other explanation for the demand being that much higher than Beyoncé, the better, more acclaimed performer. Any other narrative making it about it being due to it being more exciting or engaging is hog ****.

I don’t think it’s a matter of appealing to kids like Taylor sometimes does “hey kids spelling is fun” LOL. I meant more so in a MJ way he is so omnipresent and music is everywhere that kids of every gen just naturally become a fan. The reason why MJ is so beloved is because he was out there with the music and promo. If Beyoncé was seen more than just once a year, even with a brand new album out, that would do wonders. And hearing the song on radio does wonders too and introduces you to newer generations.

Yeah I don’t remember who posted that, but the CEO did say that pushing Taylor was one of the agreements they made on the platform.

MJ also is a man.

I still remember the sexist **** he said about Madonna, "she's a woman - I think that's what bothers her. Women don't scream for other women, and men are too cool to scream for women. I get that, the fainting and adulation and the notoriety, she can't get that" :rip: Someone like Bey who has made a career about women empowerment is never meant to be as commercially appealing, and then black empowerment too... it becomes narrower. For Bey to be as successful as she is, given how polarizing she is for the latter half of her career is not acknowledged enough. Sometimes it doesn't even register to my mind that she brought a black panther tribute to the SB. :deadbanana4:

I'm gonna stay pessimistic though 'cause this is from 2018. This could have changed in 5 years, and Marseille is my birth place so I know that the stadium is right in the middle of the city! I could hear the concert and matches from my balcony when I was a child!

it might not even matter if she refuses to do them lol

I'm sorry but this discussion is not worth even talking about it because unless you're a troll on this website, every Swift and Beyoncé stan understands that both are in different category of live performers, both have different audiences of music listeners and both are simply two different kind of musicians. and it's okay to prefer one or the other. that's just how it is. :michael:

This is her best tour yet because Ive never seen this much fan engagement before. The Beyhive has been showing out with their outfits and every livestream gets thousands of viewers. We were probably over 100K for the first show when you combine some of the streams. Every show so far has been an event and Im sure the next one on Saturday will be even better (finally a weekend show) These are the most exciting times to be a Beyoncé fan.

Bey breaking records and doing something different each date really took a toll on some mfs. :dies:

I didn't want to mention this because I know it means nothing and I don't like to generalize. But on the train back from the airport last week I saw two girls wearing Eras Tour t-shirts while I wore my RWT hat and we stared daggers at each other from Newark to Penn Station. They looked so much like stereotypical Taylor stans it was bordering on parody.

idek why it bothered me but it did

Oh wow, not that I’ve spent a ton of time in your neck of the woods or anything but they would easily be the grossest thing I’ve seen on the train

eh she’s still selling out even without the social media engagement, and more importantly she’s delivering ART on and offstage. they can keep their tiktok likes :giraffe:
