By the looks of it, Beyoncé is also going to break the record for female concerts in Cardiff, Tottenham, Marseille and Paris. She also had the biggest show in Stockholm since Madonna in 1992 or something like that. I want PopCrave to keep posting these random records to make them even more mad

The fact she actually acknowledges the visuals in that Formation intro and features clips from the visuals elsewhere makes me think they actually are coming soon and she/her team are hyper-aware of the "thing" around them. 

 

As we know, most of these Pop girls will totally ignore a topic when trying to brush ish under the carpet (e.g. like a flop release or chaotic scenario). Bey could easily have done the same with the visuals during the tour and we all would have dealt. Instead, they are leaning in and playing with the topic. So, they're coming IMO. 

 

The only issue is timing. 

 

It wouldn't make much business sense to drop the visuals before the US leg. The show, for better or worse, is formatted the way it is for Europe and I don't see that changing before it wraps there. Whereas, much like OTRII, the gap between the Euro and US legs gives her time to tweak the show. Perhaps with more choreo and moments from the visuals. 

 

What's more, dropping the visuals post-Euro-leg and refreshing the show for the US leg will make for a huge wave of new buzz for a 2nd Euro leg as well as more shows internationally. Much as I want the visuals 10 months ago, I'd bet the delay now is about how to strategically use the visuals to benefit the big money-making things in her orbit (i.e. extending the tour and her upcoming new ventures).

I agree, but my whole point is NO ONE else gets this comparison. You won't find this tweet about Gaga, Taylor, or anyone else. People really just hate Bey.

 

It all started with the Obama connection and deepened with her activism. I don't mind it though, because if someone in real life hates her for stuff like this it's an immediate red flag.

The strategic window of the visuals is gone. It will definitely cause a boost, but at this point only stans and friends of stans are going to sit down and watch the film the moment it premieres.   It will be a success, but it isn't going to be the moment Lemonade film was.

 

t's been a year of Act I, so at this rate if Act II comes out in 2023 we aren't even going to get Act III until 2024. She can hawk her hair care with that.
