Does any of you ever listen to the no rap versions of CIL and Deja Vu or do you prefer Jay on them.

Why would someone want to remove Jay :rip:

I didn't know there were no rap versions

Me neither! If real, it would make sense.

I just don’t see ACT II coming during the “Renaissance World Tour”. While it’s true that ST came amidst the MCWT, that tour didn’t have an album name attached to it. Unless ACT II is still linked to Renaissance as album name … maybe I just don’t want to get my hopes up lol

Worth remembering how many Lemonade songs skipped the formation world tour and even Hold Up was only a quick mash up. She could release a new album and only put 4 songs from act II in the tour. The tour can be Renaissance themed and feature some highlights from act 2. Just the same way that ST never received its own themed tour, it simply got Mrs Carter leg 2 with a few extra performances but thematically/tonally it was the same tour as pre-album.

:eddie: yup. If you type in Crazy In Love/Deja Vu no rap. It comes up on Spotify.

I just randomly watched the SL Video and I was SHOCKED to see its already passed 900mio views on Youtube? When did it gain so many views? :jonny6:

Then I checked a few of Beys classics and was surprised her MV catalog is actually gaining so nicely. Here a few milestones to come in a few months:

Soon to reach:

1.4 billion views: Halo (currently 1.3bio views)

1 billion views: SL (currently at 910mio)

700 Mio views: Crazy in Love and Drunk in Love (both super close)

600mio views: 7/11 (currently at 590 mio views), Run The World (currently at 550 mio views) and Love On Top (currently at 520 Mio views)

500 Mio views: Irreplaceable and Beautiful Liar (both close)

300 Mio views: Formation

Talk about a discography aging like fine wine :jonny5:

Didnt the original Single Ladies video get deleted at 900 million before the VEVO thing happened?

it could work if it’s more dance/uptempo music, like a hip hop album. Then she could just add the songs and they’d still fit the theme. Even if the new album is like slow songs it would be a nice lil tempo change idk but either way if she drops a new album mid way through the tour I’m tryna hear the new album live, self titled was different because she was doing OTR that summer.

You think each Act will have its own tour?

Eh. No, I don’t think so. One could hope but it would be very tiring for her, let’s say that the EU Leg pt. II in Summer 2024 rumor could make sense with Act II following the end of RWT.

If I had to bet, I still think Act 2 is coming after the tour and then she does a second leg including South America, Australia and Asia as well as Europe and NA again (similar to MCWT)

MTE. Maybe a bit ambitious but explainable in the context of things and the way she’s wording every single spoken/written contribute to this 3-part-project.

This is also very true. But the way she put it down in the Reinassance booklet, would she really waste another album being rushed into the RWT? Then again it’s Bey we’re talking about … so anything is possible. Selfishly I would love to get Act II in the first semester of this year, I just would be a bit bummed AHAP and Heated aren’t going to get the spotlight they deserve (I still stand by Heated as Summer 2023 single).

Generic??

Generic??

Sure. The only non-generic part is the outro, but the song itself has Drake written all over it which immediately makes it sound generic

HEATED is fresh, chriz serving no taste. Y’all just don’t like drake but his music is good, next y’all will talk **** about excellence like mine

No no, dont get me wrong. I like and enjoy Heated, but it still sounds generic for the most part.

I have to agree :coffee:

There's worse songs on the album but Heated is easily the most uneventful/least interesting outside the outro

I agree with the statements on HEATED. tbh when I first heard it I was a little bored by it... it didn't give anything new per se like many of the other songs did, and we already had a few tracks of the same production/genre style (MOVE, ENERGY). That being said, the last few minutes with the iconic rap made me instantly change my mind about the song as a whole, and it's clearly a great song because of that. In time I got to enjoy the meaning of the lyrics in the placement of the album (that moment where you've been dancing at the club for so long that you just need to take a cool-down break).

Tbh the fact that you can tell it's a Drake song without knowing it's a Drake song makes it a tad generic. Drake's style has been so impactful that it's infused almost all of pop music so yes, that can read as generic in many ways. She injected enough Beyoncé into it though (doing things vocally he'd never even try...) so credit to her.
