I'm expecting most of Ren. Lots of full performances and certain other songs sprinkled in dance breaks or used for interludes.

That said: Which non-Ren songs do you think she's coming with?

The staples such as Crazy In Love, Baby Boy, Naughty Girl are essentially a given. Some of the new staples too: Formation & Drunk In Love.

I also think we will get a fair amount of The Gift. Like others have said, I don't think she rehearsed some of those songs for a one-and-done. I think she's coming to RWT a few of the songs (aka perform them til they morph into classics). Brown Skin Girl comes to mind and I can see Spirit replacing Forever Young as her intro into the inevitable Halo closer.

All in all, I want her to get her Madonna on with this tour. Be pretty aggressive in the Rennie push and ruthlessly cut old tracks or "convert" them sonically into the vibe of Ren. Her MD is top tier, so I have high expectations.

For some reason I don't think we'll see Baby Boy at the RWT, but CIL and NG will 100% be there. Same for Halo. Also I don't think she'll do a lot from TG like she did in Dubai, but it could be a possibility.

There's no way Blow isn't on the setlist. I'm not sure for Parition, I can see her excluding it this time around tbh.

I expect RTW to still be there and I have a feeling she will do Bootylicious too. No Single Ladies. Diva is at the toss of a coin. She might do Sweet Dreams.

B'day will be the biggest snub I fear.

It's kinda funny that some Hive don't seem to be clued up on her obvious tells, when she's lipping. :toofunny3: It's not a big deal, but the meltdowns when people even talk about it... :skull: It's always drama in here.

This!

Bey is amazing for so many reasons beyond just her talent.

The fact she skilfully avoids the pitfalls of her idols (aka takes the best of their practices and leaves the rest) to elongate her own instrument and career is really impressive.

Her live voice still sounds this incredible for a reason and that reason is preservation and pacing.

As any stan should know, it's possible to deliver a mind-blowing live performance in parts of a show and "preserve her voice" in other sections. Two things can be true at once. It's actually very smart and will see her real voice operate at top tier for decades to come.

I love Mariah and Whitney, but I'm sure in their latter careers they wished they embraced such "preservation" methods rather than going all out for every song every night. A surefire way to burnout / damage one's instrument.

I get the defensiveness from some stans (as some haters use the "preservation" as a dragging or means of undermining). But there is a fair, respectful, and even commending way for us to get into the topic in the safe space that is this Base.

she only incorporated 7 songs off of lemonade in the FWT, but it was a 12 song album, so i'd say about 10 or 11 songs would be expected yes

These songs prob make a good setlist:

Renaissance:

- I’M THAT GIRL

- COZY

- ALIEN SUPERSTAR

- CUFF IT

- BREAK MY SOUL

- CHURCH GIRL

- PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA

- VIRGO’S GROOVE

- MOVE

- HEATED

- AHAP

- PURE/HONEY

- SUMMER RENAISSANCE

Add Ons:

- Crazy In Love

- Baby Boy

- Naughty Girl

- Freakum Dress

- Check On It

- Halo :shakeno:

- Sweet Dreams

- Love On Top

- Party

- Schoolin’ Life

- Dance For You

- Blow

- Drunk In Love

- Partition

- Formation

that’s about 28 songs prob make interludes out of Flawless, SL, and Energy + idek how she will incorporate anything from Lemonade outside Formation (and maybe Hold Up) :deadbanana:

Club Renaissance

nope it’s Apple Music :dancehall:

not this (great) setlist idea sitting at over 3 hours :deadbanana2:

that's probably what my setlist idea would look like too, I kinda want her to perform all of Renaissance but that wouldn't leave too much room for the "songs locals love" category which will inevitably be there. so there will be a lot of medleys, mashups, and quick little teases. I'm just praying VIRGO'S GROOVE gets its full 6 minutes.

the Dubai show is interesting in this regard because I'm now curious if she'll include any of the somewhat random picks like Bigger, Otherside and Spirit on the tour somehow. I'd much prefer any of Already, Find Your Way Back, Mood 4 Eva and Black Parade. (Brown Skin Girl can stay, she's cute.) Or maybe she'll pay The Gift dust so Dubai was her one chance to showcase a few of those songs, who knows.

I have a huge feeling POTS is gonna be the next 1+1/Resentment moment, she won't skip it

But we'll see :fan:

Also, AHAP is one of my favorites and I saw enough love for it on here, but generally doesn't seem to be much of a fan favorite, isn't it second to last in streams behind AUYIM?

I mean ATRL favourite lol

And with POTS I can see that, but depends on part act II :eli:

- Dance For You

I would DIE if she performed Dance For You again :deadbanana: :jonny5:

But realistically it's too similar in theme and composition to Virgo's Groove so I don't see her doing both

Alien Superstar/Sweet Dreams/Dangerously in Love medley oh absolutely:loud:

I think the upcoming tour will cover a lot of TG and REN plus some of her iconic hits. I can't wait for her to perform Water though :jonny5:

She barely performed D4Y before though.

Benching Baby Boy would be a....choice. Especially as a mash-up with Already is begging to happen.

But I'm with some of your omission picks. I think she should go big and go bold. I'm predicting Halo closer, but would love for her to do a Homecoming and end the show upbeat. TBH, she can scrap Halo altogether.

Like Dubai, it would be cool to see her dig into her catalog and bring back some randoms. What I love about Ren as an album is that it's her first album in a while that is more party and less heavy thematically. So it really gives her the ability to play with some of her Pop hits. I totally could never see her touching Beautiful Liar, for example, during that whole Lemonade/444/OTRII era for many reasons from sonics to lyrics. But now seems fair game. As you said, songs like Sweet Dreams and Blow make a lot of sense in a Rennie world.

During Coachella, she brought back Kitty Kat, Deja Vu, Check On it. For Dubai, she brought back Beautiful Liar and Flaws & All.

I think she's gonna incorporate B'day this time though after a decade of snubbing.

I love how she randomly added Lost Yo Mind to the FWT, I hope she does something similar and sneaks a deep cut somewhere for the RWT

There's no way she's skipping POTS lmao.

She already acknowledged this song on Tik Tok and it looks like it's a favourite of hers indeed.

Tour dates today. I dreamt it

It's not totally far fetched tbh.

I can see a scenario where announcing post-Grammys makes sense. So, the Feb 7 date we were told. But given the sheer amount of hype around Dubai (which probably wasn't banked on given that it was "supposed" to be private), there's a business case for pushing the announcement up (capitalize on the hype).

Either way, this current swirl of buzz is very beneficial to the seemingly imminent announcement.

Maybe @Mercuriomight have some News for us after all these supposed dates leak + Dubai concert + foot surgery.

That one Twitter account that correctly assumed act I would be called Renaissance, has a theory that one of the other acts is called Utopia, after her mentioning it during the show.

I can see it being:

act I: Renaissance

act II: Rodeo

act III: Utopia

Rodeo would be something from her youth which made her happy, where she had fun and what reminds her of home, and which she’d explore again in spirit of the renaissance theme. And she would finish with Utopia which is a perfect place she imagines

Hmm.

I'm still quietly gagged at the fact that Renaissance is actually called that given how many people theorized as much when she used the word in that interview the year before. It was almost too clockable to be true and yet here we are.

Who knows.

Seems like she likes to do that. She also teased us about Lemonade and we had Formation as a title half a year before it was released and no one suspected it
