i do agree and see the trolls in this thread, don't get me wrong. but i find interesting discussing the prerecorded vocals because it's a part of the performance. just like dancing and memorizing her stage queues, nailing pre-recorded vocals is a whole ass talent, for me it's quite admirable. and because i know her unmatched vocal talent and i know what she's capable of delivering, acknowledging she doesn't sing live 100% of the time doesn't damage my ego as a stan because i know exactly who i stan for. whether or not she sang them live in that exact moment, she still sang them a couple hours earlier while she was recording them lol, so it's still her talent in display. 

 

if someone is going to take my comment as me saying she "can't sing" or she's not talented enough or she's not able to deliver those vocals 100% live, or even worse, if some OBH will use it to further prove their point of beyoncé being a "fraud", that's their problem. it doesn't affect me and it certainly doesn't affect Bey, she bagged $35M for fucks sake

 

long story short, discussing her prerecorded vocals is interesting to me because they're not easy to pull off, and she does it flawlessly. she STILL delivered those vocals, just not at that exact time. her vocal talent is not in question here, quite the opposite

Miming underneath the pre-recorded vocals is though. Bey lip syncs here & there within performances. I thought we all knew this? As I die hard fan I've watched her inhale whilst the voice is doing something else entirely 

 

It's actually been the one gripe I've had with her, especially as some artists never use pre-recorded vocals and get dragged for sounding out of breath or missing notes etc.

 

Anyway the vocals are all her talent. Voice preservation is also important. I do wish she'd go a less deceptive route around it but hey...

lip syncing is moving your mouth to studio vocals, a pre-recorded vocal track is a track that was recorded prior to the performance - often at rehearsal, most likely at the same venue the performance is going to take place in and with the same microphone she will be singing with (for acoustic reasons) but it's theoretically still live vocals. that's why you're able to hear her breaths and almost can't tell the difference between what's actually live and what's pre-recorded

 

EVERYONE does it. gaga does it, rosalia does it, dua does it. it's very common, but no one does it as good as Beyoncé does. that's why i like talking about it, because it's not a bad thing. it's actually really good and very smart specially when you're on tour. you can't sing 100% live for an hour and a half every night for almost a year, it will WRECK your vocal chords, no matter how much vocal warm up you do. and this doesn't mean the whole show is pre-recorded, most of the times it's 70% live, 30% pre-recorded. and considering she's already rehearsing for the renny tour, she must be doing a whole lot of singing lately 

Gaga doesn't actually do this, she just hides behind a backing track but it's never for vocal moments or designed to convince anyone it's her.

Self titled completely shook me and the entire music industry. To just drop music and videos like that was unheard of for a pop star, everyone did the lead single build up route before that. And I really don’t think anyone expected it to do THAT well, I remember the early predictions were less than 300k and then they exploded after a few hours

She was dancing to you in that concert? she barely moved around. Plus how long have you known Bey to state such stupidity about dancing and singing? you know the girl who was in Destiny's child and then got an iconic solo career Beyoncé?

in all of the clips ive seen, i can pick up on her breathing, and i KNOW the DrIL outro is not lipped cause you can see her start to see before her mic is properly in position so it quickly fades in (when the fountains start going and she gets in position)

I listened to self-titled in full again today. she's really that girl.

 

I remember getting the album for my birthday (Aquarius here lol). I was floored when I watched the visuals for the first time.

 

Time flies. I'm at my best yet and Beyoncé dropped her best album so far, but nostalgia is such a warm, sweet feeling.

ST is my favorite album, ever. I have a lot of emotions and memories tied up in that era.

I’m not talking about dubai, I’m talking in general. She be dancing DOWN sometimes, like coachella she really gagged me cuz she hadn’t danced that hard since like 4 era. All the great performing dancers lip a lil bit like who cares, she still has the stamina to belt when she needs to. And in dubai she sounded amazing, her voice is so much fuller than it was in her 20s

The intro of Alien Superstar or Pure/Honey sound like openers to me.

Jane is reminding me of how hard we used to go back in the day about bey. 4 era we were menaces, we’ve softened up too much i fear 

 

anyway, she’s definitely starting the tour off with IM THAT GIRL. The entire stadium dark, the video screens light up, as “PLEASE MUTHAFUCKAS PLEASE MUTHAFUCKAS” shakes the field. “PLEASE MUTHAFUCKAS AINT STOPPIN ME” as bey rises up from beneath the stage on reneigh 

I doubt it will happen but … this the first album I think she should perform somewhat in order. She can include the hits and some fan faves in between.
 

ITG is a good opener and SR is a good closer.

Anyway moving on and ignoring that crap from now on. It ain't worth my energy. 

 

This is really the right moment for her to release that documentary. There is a rumor that she is staying in Dubai for another week and is doing a photoshoot this week. I wonder what it is for. I know she wont leave that country before filming at least something big there.
