because its part of the grammys campaign y'all lol the other parties were to promote the album launch. 

 

she also ran full-page FYC ads in billboard magazine this week. 

 

the text can easily be explained as a soft launch for when tour pre-sale starts, them testing out the system for future events.

every major artists have full page FYC on Billboard. it's not special at all.

and why just LA? where is NYC or Atlanta, etc. if it's just simple club.

if they're doing this as grammy campaign.. oh boy.. lame.

I never shy from calling out B's BS but... How on earth did anyone think this "listening party" was going to have a performance or visuals??? Especially after all that we've been through this era??? 

 

I fear some of y'all need a check up. 

 

Also Yvette only responded cuz her job is to handle PR (this is not PROMO) and she spoke out against a tweet that made it sound like an official article said bey will perform. That was IT. 

 

It was stupid to blast that promo to everyone across the globe but it's fine cuz the intent was to give hive FREE access to the event and this was all they had. 

 

It just reads like a Grammy campaign thing plus a little treat for some fans by organizing an "official" listening party. Especially when the album was made just for the clubs. 

 

The best case scenario you can read from this is that she partnered with Amazon and there is something interesting about the repeated use of the word "spatial". And even that reading is in delulu hive territory (which I proudly am). 

 

Some of y'all REALLY stupid to make anything else out of this. Tho I understand how for some this was just a trigger for pent up frustration... But y'all haven't found peace till now? It's been 5 months, stop holding on to previous expectations of this album and era and make your own. Everything else is bonus and we know two more acts are coming anyway.

I think the window on CUFF IT is closed, but I won't be surprised if the album remains out of the Top 20. Oh well. 

@Planet Mars I think it will but it won't be for long. I think the first week of Jan is the perfect timing to start pushing another single on the radio (Alien or Heated) to keep the album going.

We'll probably know what the next single is on the 21st, right? She released BMS during the Summer Solstice and Autumn was Cuff It season.

Beyoncé rarely campaigns for her awards. She didn’t do any campaigning for Be Alive. In in LA because that’s where a majority of Grammy voters live.

It was #16 without Xmas albums last week so I would assume so

She would actually have to do something or a miracle for it to rise in 2023.

That listening party isn't really much of a Grammy campaign. It's primarily for the fans. Not even a third of the approximately 14,000 voting members live in Los Angeles. And even if we assumed it's a third, that's about 4,600 people who need to be available on those two nights and accept an invite to attend. The few I know here in LA have not received any sort of special invite to this event. I feel like intent behind the event has more to do with Amazon Music than the Grammys.

 I agree. I think she is going to use these club renaissance events as visuals for something later on. So far it's been her with other celebs but now perhaps she wants footage of fans dancing and having fun with the music in a club sitting. The fact that it's completely free seems to me that it's something artistic she is doing and they will probably ask some fans to sign something to agree to appear in a documentary.

 

I still believe a documentary about the makings of Renaissance is coming and maybe then we will have the visuals.

 

Personally i'm only waiting on Act II at this point. I'm over the visuals.

In her head, this era is going fantastically. She’s all over tiktok, the album is making a cultural impact, the music is critically acclaimed, the album and lead single both went to #1, and all this without doing any traditional promo and without visuals. 
 

All this has done is give her ego another boost that it didn’t need and she’ll be genuinely feeling like a goddess who has the world in the palm of her hand.

 

She’ll release the visuals on her own terms, if at all. 
 

I listened to the album again today for the first time in a while and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The era just feels so soulless and void of substance for me though. I don’t have tiktok, I haven’t been given the opportunity to attend any Renaissance party near where I live, I don’t really have any friends who are big Bey fans who I can talk to about the album, and then on top of that, she hasn’t performed live once or presented us with a single visual. To rub salt in the wound, she announces exclusive listening events in LA and London at short notice that will be impossible for me to attend. It’s been the most disappointing Bey era ever for me as a stan, despite the album possibly being my favourite thing she’s ever done. 
 

I no longer get the sense that she really cares about the fans and their personal enjoyment of the era. It feels like all she cares about is the general clout of the album on social media and the critical acclaim from critics. Her withholding the visuals feels like a power move that enhances these perceptions of clout and bold artistic statements, but unfortunately it’s her truest and biggest fans that are the losers in all of this and she simply couldn’t care less.
 

She is a different person than she was in 2008. She now rightfully believes her hype, she rightfully believes she is one of the greatest artists walking the planet, and she truly believes that she can make the world bend to her will. Good for her, I guess. Bad for us, but oh well who cares about us
