that's a good point... but it goes back to my original point... I'd like her to have it released on EVERY platform, including. Why relegate it to one? If an album can be on every music site, why not a visual album on every streaming site?

the lengths i had to go to watch Lemonade live... getting a US iTunes account, buying myself a US iTunes gift card so I can even USE that account (you need to have a credit card/money available in CASE you purchase), subscribing to a VPN service, updating my phone becuase back then the HBO Go service was just an App that had to be installed on a phone first before you can link to a computer, then updating my browser so it could use HBO Go.... the stress, the time crunch I had starting this just an hour before the premiere... only for it to be for sale immedaitely after it aired lol.

This then takes away the option of a valuable financial deal, so unfortunately it won't happen unless she/parkwood are happy loosing or barely breaking even on the film. The platforms will only pay high value for something which is exclusive for them... She should do a temporary exclusive deal so after 2 year she can put it on any platform.

 

 

Side note, I really need Lemonade to be available on something other than Tidal and iTunes.

In the UK lemonade was not readily accessible on any platform as there is no HBO G like there are in some other countries (spain for example). They sell their stuff to variously international platforms and Lem only appeared on Sky (temporarily) a month or 2 after the initial release. So it was a bit messy.

 

You can tell the distribution team are not truly on top of things after the whole BIK/no Disney + in Africa thinh. They only organised a TV premiere once there was backlash.

Because the music industry banned streaming service exclusives. Hollywood is not as generous. They do not want to give up viewers on their platform to their competitors.

 

if Beyoncé had it her way, her music would still be exclusive to tidal. She loved that business model.

wow a third of a year since Ren, 4 months, over 120 days, almost half a pregnancy. I went on 3 trips/vacations and ZILCH from this woman.

Honestly my fear is she'll release the visual, announce the tour, and announce ACT II around the Grammys

There is no date… usually, when this happens it’s because the artist's management is making changes to the business proposals (it’s the third time this has happened) Right now, there's no exact date that's confirmed, but we're looking at the new year. Possibly as far as the Grammys  She should’ve announced in September to stall us, the silence is killing me. 

I really wish I hadn’t read that 

I would be so happy if she  just released Act II a bit after new year's eve and then comes up with a plan with the visuals for both projects. Then she ignores the Grammys completely and performs some songs live on a special on streaming.

 

That would be my ideal rollout at this point.

Sucks this all we are going to get each era from now on  didn’t expect it to be this bad. I’d love to know what is actually going on bts.

Yeah, I want Lemonade on Netflix too. I haven't watch it for years because I don't have HBO and the album is the only thing I have. This is why the album is doing badly on recurrent streams.

 

As for REN, y'all need to accept the fact that there will be no promo at all. Not even The GRAMMYS I think. Aren't the message is clear by now? She wants the album to sell organically. I wonder if the amount of quick little number ones and the crazy stunt and tactic that these artist pulled in the past few years affected her. "People don't make organic hits anymore, they don't make organic hits".
