So now she’s a “dance” artist but when’s the last time we saw her actually dance?

I honestly think Spotify has a bone to pick with Beyoncé.

Her playlisting is pretty poor on it, and you'd think she'd have more entries on lists like "All Out 2000's" or throwback R&B and Pop playlists, but her hits are barely there.

Her decision to remain exclusive to Tidal while throwing shade at Spotify (essentially bragging that she cares so little about Streaming that she refused to put Lemonade on Spotify) hurt her there in the long run.

It makes no sense that Taylor and Rihanna stream like they do while Beyoncé doesn't. Especially when she pulls in NUMBERS on Apple Music.

She has 7 albums and way too many hits for RENAISSANCE to be pulling in nearly 6M daily, yet she can't crack 10M with the rest of her discography dating back almost 20 years :deadbanana2:

This has to be some sort of trickery because her hits are classics and their total streams are top tier. B'day AND IA...SF are in the Top 10 most streamed female albums of the 00's. You'd think those songs and albums would be pulling in much more than they do.

Not to mention her streams were on par with Ariana's and Rihanna's pre-lemonade.

I'm so tired of this site discussing and dragging her Spotify numbers which isn't that bad.

10 years ago she was dragged left and right because of 4 era flopping only for her to comeback with a vengeance the latter part of the decade. Hope something happens again next year.

Anyone has daily streams from those time?

The only bright side to all this sick **** Bey pulls is the fact that her confirmed tour next summer seems super surreal in a way other MPGs can’t replicate… she really does depend on us being in shambles and ready to waste our tax money on her the second d she releases visuals.

She simply doesn’t have the leverage Taylor has (for example) demographically so this is the type of **** she has to pull to guarantee longevity. It makes sense when you think about.

You're joking right?

Beyonce is one of the most playlisted artists

Edited by Otter

Rihanna and Taylor had consistent big hits through the 2010s which kept them relevant amongst the younger generation.

Beyonce had 1 (DIL) which wasn't that big globally and everything else was longevity (Partition/LOT/711/RTW).

The thing about having an aging audience is that just steam less compared to young ones.

Who cares how Beyoncé charts in comparison to the gurls who debuted nearly a decade after her?

Were we comparing Beyoncé's 2013 numbers to Mariah and Mary J Blige? No.

Let these girls slay in their own era. Beyoncé has made it very clear that her left pinky toe couldn't give the slightest **** about the Spotify, Apple or Billboard charts.

I think it's funny that half the women in the top 10 have been on those daily stream lists for a while and still can't surpass Beyonce overall. Got them stanning for Lana over Beyonce when Beyonce is literally bigger on every other feasible  platform, including Spotify.

It's giving white identified. No wonder they're upset everytime Bey sells and charts well despite their constant daily Spotify threads.

Beyonce's playlisting could be better. Really all she has is Halo for obvious reasons. I noticed when I played Renaissance, as soon at the album was over it'd go right to a Rihanna or Ariana song. Um. my listening habits don't point to them being in my top 5 or barely top 10 some years. So yes, this may be by design.

You mean before they released subsequent albums which found success on streaming whilst she hid Lemonade on Tidal? Makes sense :celestial5:

ultimately watching daily, weekly numbers may be fun but it's low-key pointless. Listening habits and relevance is not linear, after part 2 & the tour, her Spotify standing will be different. But ultimately she's a 41 YO artist who doesn't like to promote. Her numbers are respectable all things considered and we shouldn't really be baited into arguing with trolls. She's not the biggest streaming artist and that's fine

Funny you say this. When Bey finishes for me on Apple music it goes straight to Ariana and Nicki songs that I have never streamed in my life. As most gays do, I listen to the occasional Nicki and Ariana but definitely not something I actively seek..

When the album finishes in Spotify for me it plays Cuff It every time. :keir:

She is one of the most playlisted female artist in spotify :gaycat6:

Whether you agree or not her team really pulled every strings to promote renaissance without her need. from tiktok promo to major music consuming services

You cannot compare her with taylor because behives cannot stream the songs like swifties and rihanna has tons of global hits ( like half of them shares with other artists so she gets boost from their fanbase )

She is BEYONCE for gods sake idk why you guys worrying about her stats lol

Right. Usually those threads have only one artist over 35 being Lana, only one black artist being Rihanna and no artist with a 25 years old career. Like, okay fine, Billie and Olivia stream Beyoncé daily but you could combine their ages and they’d still be younger than Bey. And yes, that matters. I’d like to see where all of those girls are when they hit 40 or they’ve been around for 25 years. I’m sure they won’t be at the top of the game, and that’s absolutely fine.

The irony is that Bey's music is called forgotten when she accumulated those massive streams even before TikTok started getting massive while the other girls are playing catch up only thanks to TikTok resurgence. Talking about organic streams when B was doing numbers when people didn't need TikTok to discover her music.

I would love to see who ended up getting into the decade end list because B did it last decade without TikTok. B was the 00s female of the decade and in the 10s, Spotify's 5th most streamed female while Gags settled at the bottom.

No one makes 7393030 threads to discuss Adele's Spotify numbers though :keir:

Because she kept her music hostage. And therefore couldn't build familiarity with the listeners or hits.

------------------

Anyway I don't understand some comments here, her playlisting on Spotify is stellar. She just had no familiarity or huge recent hits.

Maybe with the two additional acts and the tour, things are going to get better.

But still, those drags are so boring to me, there's never a single full RnB girl in those lists and the only one from her generation is Shakira. She could be doing better sure but she's also not doing awful either.

That's not true. Swifties were, all the time.

It just depends on how much another stanbase wants to prove that you're a flop. So right now Bey's haters get to celebrate, that's ok.
