Who is this "they" you and Twitter Hive been talking about?

AMAs gave Bey her pop nominations this year. Grammys gave Bey her dance nominations this year, and she has gotten Pop noms (f*cking The Gift got a Pop Vocal nom ) and wins in the past.

 

I can maybe get the annoyance of Renaissance being considered an R&B album, but I have seen tweets of Hive being mad at Lemonade being called an R&B album by Billboard or winning Prog R&B. How is it NOT a Prog R&B album?  Lemonade = album rooted in R&B that explores a multitude of different genres. Literally the definition of the category  Not to mention it is Bey herself who submitted there, she wasn't moved.

 

To me it sometimes seems like you guys view "R&B" categorization as lesser, and therefore aren't content with Bey's wins there.

I'm not sure what you're trying to argue here. "They" as in literally the entirety of the OBH on ATRL who said Renaissance noms were fraudulent because she's nominated in both categories? No where did I say Renaissance wasn't either of those, I literally called the album versatile. Nor did I say Lemonade wasn't a Prog R&B album.

The Hive are already carrying this era, and for CUFF IT the GP/Tik Tok is doing that.

 

It's already re-peaking, but you can't expect a fanbase to do all the heavy lifting. If Beyoncé misses the Top 10 then she's just going to have to miss it. The only reason this era is a success anyway is because of the Hive because what has Mrs. Girl been doing since July?

 

Besides it'll probably go top 10 sometime in January when the Xmas songs drop like rocks.

Like it's now been four months.

I had a dream she released the Renaissance visuals and there were 5 intermissions, each being a re-recorded dance remix of a past hit, with her then surprise-released THE INTERMISSIONS EP on streaming. One of them was a Mariah'd Dangerously in Love remix and the other was a Survivor/I Will Survive mashup.

 

Then I woke up

Like it's now been four months.

There was clearly an idea behind the secrecy of the visual world... She sold t-shirts without showing them, everything on the website were placeholders and it took her LONG before showing the cover. But something must have gone wrong behind the scenes and now it's crazy.

At least she's actually doing a WORLD tour this time! 

I just remembered that the only time we officially saw her promote anything after releasing Renaissance in JULY was for Tiffany
