From my perspective, Beyoncé released her most daring album, I want the unique sounds she has created to represent the album, not the Nile Rodgers song. It was never hatred against Cuff It, every song in the album is a 10 for me.

Welcome. Self Titled is the third best after those two but I suggest you save it for last now. I think the best way to experience Bey’s albums is chronologically.

Netlix actually just posted a better than expected recovery so they aren't taking the way they were expected to.

TBH, Netflix still reigns over the other streaming services. 

 

In one regard, the increasing number of rival services was always going to eat into its dominance. 

 

Also, it remains THE definitive service with the most global and immediate impact. Everything else is either local or not genuinely on brand or kind of irrelevant. 

 

I don't doubt that ALL of the streamers will be rushing to throw her coins as they all a) have it and b) will want her to bring the cool to her service. Given how much the other services want to win, it's totally plausible they would/could outbid a Netflix for it. 

 

But this is one time I really want her to see the bigger picture. Yes, a large chunk of fans will flood whichever platform she goes to. But if not Netflix it still puts a cap on how many people overall will see it. As we're seeing with BMS and Cuff It, having the GP at large on board is very necessary to commercial success and the project's resonance. 

 

I really don't want a BIK situation again where she delivers her best visuals yet only for it to go over a lot of heads because the platform is...wrong.

They aren’t even remotely the same. Beyoncé’s renaissance special edition vinyls were struggling on sale for pre-order for weeks. Taylor has a completely different audience who buys her merch.
 

there is no point to be made. Taylor is spending money that isn’t hers on her visuals and will recoup it on the tour. Beyoncé has to pay for her own visuals. Instead of waiting until tour to recoup that money she needs it back now because she comes out-of-pocket. That’s why she needs someone to purchase the film. What isn’t clicking…

I’m just shocked how they didn’t have more vinyls ready to go, they really under shipped. For a star of her status you would think that box would have been checked 

All I know is that between the slur drama, vinyls issue, visuals issue, sampling drama, and payments drama, somebody somewhere is getting fired.
