Was there a lack of stands? Because my Target (I live an hour from the city) has over a dozen stands easily and still has plenty of magazines and albums. But I heard there were very few left in NYC itself.

Like LWYMMD's first week, this is further evidence that her base continues to grow. These are truly exceptional first-week numbers.

 

The big question, of course, is how long will its legs be? So far, its songs seem to have been consumed by her base in droves but relatively rejected by the rest of the public. It'll be fascinating to see if people pick up on one or two songs and give the album some longevity.

 

Of course, it matters when the album is uploaded to streaming services as well. It would be smartest to upload it after the first or second week; I would think, considering how tactical her team is, that any further withholding would be for moral (not strategic) reasons.

No one actually was expecting her to sell this much, I thought she was gonna barely pass one million or sell around 900k.

 

This is also probably the best selling album ever with so little promotion.
