I keep seeing discussions about her lately, especially since the VMAs. Her recent album did good (it will probably become a cult classic) and it seems people do not hate her that much anymore. Even when she was hated, she was still talked about. How is she still doing this even after more than 40 years?

She is the Queen, the blueprint of your faves. You have no idea how huge she was plus she has one of the best discographis in pop music. Her videos and tours were events and more people hate her than love her, which makes her always relevant.

Did she really? Maybe in terms of specific stats, but Madonna's cultural impact, longevity and continued influence simply can't be ecplised.

Taylor is 20 years in and putting out sh*t like TLOAS.

Madonna is 40 years in and putting out an EXQUISITE rich body of work like Confessions 2.

When you focus on QUALITY and artistic output, you get results. Plus Madonna has always been the queen of reinvention, she knows a new look and a butt job will keep the GP talking about her.

Because even though people look at women and success differently, she's literally on MJ/The Beatles level. She was the biggest female artist of all time for decades and entire generations grew up with her. Even if Gen Z don't know, the generations above them do and will check in when her name is on something

That's like asking why the Eiffel Tower is still relevant.

Both are classics.

Even when it comes to 'stats', lets remind ourselves that Madonna sold over 300million with single-issue records, not 78 variants per album and inflated streaming counting.

Taylor's numbers are the very definition of inflated and chart-manipulation.

Madonna is simply the greatest female popstar ever, she consistently puts out great music and commits to it, performs everywhere she can and keeps pushing her artistic skills. Like it or not, even with some duds in her discog, she consistently puts out some of the best pop music around, decade after decade.
